They got out of the Tates Creek/Dunbar/Lafayette district after 1999. In 2002, when he came the first time, he indeed had a loaded team and done pretty well with them, but they only had 1 year in the system. In 2003, Chappell had almost the exact same team minus TeWayne Willis and went 5-6, which I think is underachieving just a bit.

That's a big minus lol

Yea I know, kind of hard to overlook the states leading scorer. But there was plenty of weapons back, a huge and experienced offensive line, and essentially every skill player on offense (minus Willis of course).

That's the truth! It's the best of both worlds ~ He's moved on where he's coaching at his Alma Mater & close to his family & Perry Central got One Hell of a Coach in Justin Haddix. If Justin can just manage to keep the momentum up with basketball season getting close, Perry Central will do fine the rest of the season & going into the playoffs. Go Dores!!!

FACTS:
1) Browne took over the worse 6A program in the state. The previous coach ran the program into the ground and ran off most of the players and supporters. They were dressing less than 40 players before Browne arrived for a varsity game.
2) Central has improved since his arrival. Record may not indicate this, but they have. He has everyone in the community and the players excited about football again and that is a big step forward.
3) Browne will be back after this season. If he is not succesful his third season, he will get a fourth (As long as he wins at least 4 games his third season)
4) Browne will not win a 6A State Championship at MC as long as private schools compete with public schools. Simply not a level playing field
5) Browne will play PCC anytime, anyplace
6) More talent is on the way for MC to load the program with. Look at this year's freshman class and the current local 8th grade programs.
7) This year's senior class is not as talented as the average fan may think. Better than last year's, but let's be realistic. They won one game as Sophomores and one game as Juniors. The Junior class has some talent, just need one more off season to enhance these talents

Not Bert....Anyway.....Why all the hate for Browne at PCC? It looks like Haddix is doing a great job there, and has a great team, but didn't Bert do a good job when he was there?
