Hatcher-Ball is Perry's greatest strength and weakness, Knott had it pegged at the beginning, but let them start it in the 3rd and that killed them. Had Knott kept up their hot hand at the 3, they would have beaten PCC. That's the key. You have to beat them from outside and get the score high FAST. A substantial lead doesn't hurt either. Knott up 10 in the first left PCC bewildered for awhile.

Knotts zone and heavy denial of the post really stumped Perry in the beginning. Make Perry beat you from the perimeter, not the paint. Trying to neutralize Perrys size was a great strategy.
Knott had great looks in the first half and knocked them down. Hatcher made a few defensive adjustments at halftime and those looks weren't there for the most part.
Since Beverly has been playing, Hatcher ball isn't as bad as it's been. He pushes the ball every chance he gets.

My take on the game was there was some of the worst calls ever..
Whether it be KCC or PCC.. Beverly seemed like he got to the line whenever he wanted.. which was crap.. I loved the swat from Mikey on Beverly.. He literally sent it in stands...(literally went into the PCC pep section). It was nasty..

I won't say that PCC deserved the win, because I feel like KCC got cheated.. But I will say this much.. I do think PCC will go deeper in the tourney than KCC would have.. So IMO we are sending the best team to the dance..

what a game from the refs. very well played and they have carried there commodores to a regional title!

knott still wins in my mind by 51. i played it out on 2k11, created 2 teams. and knott beat perry by 51.

worst calls ever is right, but not against knott. the over and back call was pitiful, worst call of the night. the over the back on cornett was awful when his body was barely touching hall or slone which ever one it was. davis and potter were pushing off all night, and potter took the 7th grader into the stands towards to end of the game and nothnig was called. as for the swat, yes it was nice. but did you see what the 7th grader did on the next play? i believe that was nicer. as for knott getting cheated, please. knott was up early and could have continued to build a lead, but perry being the team they are fought back and won the game. two nights in a row.

Congrats to Perry Central... The best team in the region won. Sloan was player of the year and just because Davis is back the whole Knott team just got to watch Davis play. But Davis is the best player in the region but I didn't like Knott's game plan. It was all Davis the whole game. I could tell Nason Roberts ankle was hurting him a little, he didn't want any of the Cornett boy. Knott did come out on fire but Hatcher showed why he's one of the best coaches in the state, he made a few changes and the game changed. And everyone needs to stop the hating on Beverly, the kid was getting fouled. Players try to play him ruff because he's a 7th grader but it don't work. 1st quarter fouls Perry 6 and Knott 1.... and Knott's only foul was on a last second shot.... BUT Perry did what they had to do, and Davis played as good as one player can play against a whole team, and Ref's called a good game.
