Lawrence County @ Rowan County 10/15
#31
Vikings should be worried. No chance slowing down LC however RC will be hard to stop with such a fast runner. I expect 35-14 LC will win
#32
Rowan should just stay at home and not show up to the game. I do not think they can hang with the Baltimore Ravens. Oh I meant the Lawrence County Bulldogs. Rowan will be ready for the dogs believe that....:flame:

1) The Bulldogs haven't beaten anybody. Cupcakes make you fat. Blah. Blah. Blah.
2) They are too slow.
3) The Bulldogs can't stop RC's running/passing/return/pre-game stretching/taping/field striping.
4) Rowan County's running back will rush for 473 yards and as a team they will get way over 1,000 cuz the trip to Morehead is, like 4 hrs, and lc ain't played nobody cept fat slow mountain kids and a bunch of lame weirdos from wv.
5) The Bulldogs and their fans are not nice and therefore Rowan County will win.
6) And, just for good measure, "BELL COUNTY RULZ!!!"

That should about cover it.
Absolutely hilarious.

LC by 7.

I watched the game between Mason County and Rowan County yesterday and the Vikings defense was in a nice way horrible. They played out of position several times and couldn't tackle. If this happens Friday it could be a long night. Rowan better come to play some ball, reserved my hotel room in Morehead today for the party after.Go Dawgs

I'm thinking LC will probably handle Rowan pretty easily

I'm glad LC's kids aren't overlooking anybody and aren't talking trash on here. Rowan is the best offense we've seen this year across the board. They have about 5 really nice weapons on offense. Lots of speed to go with a big time QB.
I expect both teams to bring their A game!
#38
Last time the Dogs made the trip to Rowan we got handled no lie. The past year they talk the huge game about there offense and everytime we hold Cross to 30 yards rushing and the best offense of player was chin the fullback with a five yard pop here and there.
#39
I may try to make the trip to morehead to see this one. im going to take the LC bulldogs 29-28 in OT

I shall watch with interest as the loser is left with BC at Log Mountian round 2, least they get to host a first round game. As to the long drive to "Rockcastle" win your District, and win the first 2 rounds you get to host Bell County at home for Regions. Make us drive "if" ya can.

Lot more on the line than district ... ain't this gettin fun Smile

The Bulldogs will come out with thier A-Game and will not over look anyone!!!!
#42
Knox is open this week so I'll be in the stands cheering for LC but really cheering for a great game.

I know Rowan has improved greatly but I just can't see Salmons and crew not showing up with their teeth sharp swinging that junk yard chain for meat. Still, RC has earned respect this year so no clear edge here for the Dawgs.

To make it interesting RC might need to stop the run.
#43
lc is to much.
they win this one big.
#44
Lawrence County wins back to back district championships....LC by atleast two tds
#45
Two days til gameday people, I can feel it in the air. You can catch all the action of the game on WZAQ 92.3, or on tape delay on the levisa lazer. Bulldogs are ready

No injuries this week other then lineman Jacob Holbrook he has to have surgery on his knee, and Cole Cyrus will play. I know Rowan is on fall break does that affect the game at all??

IMO.... It effects your game alot. Not being in a normal routine it is hard to keep the kids focused.

Lawrence will win, but I expect a good game. Both teams are good on offense. Rowan has the advantage on special teams and Lawrence has the edge on defense. Lawrence also has a big edge in numbers and depth. Vikings are young and on the rise, but they'll have to wait at least one more year for a district title.

Will this surgery end his season?

LC rolls in this one. If it is within 2 td's I will be suprised.

The JYD's were very upset with their play against Greenup. Look for them to step it up this week.

dawgbyte02 Wrote:With only 4 seniors and 11 juniors listed on the roster it looks like RC has to play Fr and So, healthy or otherwise. And the problem with 6 plays is that the JYD's only let you have the ball for 3 or 4 plays and a lot of times for only 1 or 2 plays. The JYD's love to play fetch the ball!! 35 points is funny. There is not a team in this area that could put up 35 points against the LC defense. RC has a good, well coached team but their offense will will find yardage much harder to come by especially as the game goes on.

What did Bell's offense score against Lawrence last year in the playoffs? Just wondering since you said no one in this area could put up 35 on them.

Never mind, I looked it up. Bell won 41-0. I think Bell could score 35 on Lawrence this year IMO.

I'm not saying that Bell can't score 35 on LC'S Defense but the statement was made for this year, not last year. And since you seem to be good with numbers.. What was the score in the Bell and Boyle game last year?? See, I can play this game too.

I don't consider Bell to be in the LC area. I was referring to the Big Sandy area. Bell County is in a whole different league altogether. They put up 41 points last year and I believe 63 points the year before. Everybody in the state of KY knows Bell County has a strong tradition that has been built by the current coach. I still say Rowan will not put up 35 points against this years LC defense.

I don't care one bit to give Boyle credit for beating us. No excuses whatsoever. They won the game. Just like Bell won against Lawrence but a heck a lot worse. And might I add, could have been much worse. I wasn't trying to be a smartarse but since you wanted to be have at it.
