Probably not. SC a very good team but Central (Lou.) is the more than likely the best 1-3 team in the state in 3A. They have lost to 6A Seneca 47-32,
6A Ballard 42-14 and 6A Male 36-0. Their only win came against 6A Lafayette 25-19. Considering both SC & Central's opponents, I think Central is the best 1-3 team in 3A in the state. Just throwing it out there.

Great game and great atmosphere in Inez last night. Stands packed and around the field was lined 1 or 2 deep with people, but what was the delicious smell in the corner of the endzone coming from the grill? Anyway, it was a hard fought game on both sides with several big hits...which was expected. Looks to be the start of a good rivalry...Congrats to JC on the victory and best of luck to SC the rest of the season.

Coach Hager is one of the finest coaches in the state. He has done well with the cardinal program. Now with that being said, people have totally underestimated this Cardinal team. I know that all that matters is the Wins in the end but this whole season is part of a bigger game plan. Have all those Hager Haters took a minute to look at the schedule? It is by far the hardest schedule played by a 3A school. He said it before the season started. We are playing a grueling schedule to prepare for the district games. Makes sense to me. So in the end, this SC team that has **** with top ranked 4, 5, and some would even argue 6A (MLC) teams will be better prepared to bring home the W in their own class and district. Way to go Cards.

It is by far the hardest schedule played by a 3A school, you are wrong there,go look at Central schedule and see if you want to play that one,and Belfrys itself is rougher than SC,there may be a few more that are tougher than SC, but yes from years past its tougher, and that helps but its NOT BY FAR THE TOUGHEST...

Congrats to JC. Not pretty, but a WIN. Very disappointed by the coach from SC that came in the center of the field following the game and told JC players, coaches, cheerleaders, and fans to "Get off the Field!" Not very classy by a man in that position for SC. Kinda of gives them a BIG BLACK EYE. Go figure!

I said a hard schedule for a 3A team. I did not compare in any way to centrals schedule which if I am not mistaken is 5A. As far as Belfry schedule goes I believe SC's is a little tougher. Every school that SC has played has either been 4 or 5A and ranked, with the exception of Franfort who is still btw ranked 5th in state.

Is there ever a thread on here that you don't mention Belfry.

I believe that cuppet was referring to Louisville Central's schedule, which is 3A. SC has beefed up its schedule but all four of Central's opponents have been 6A so far this season (Seneca, Lafayette, Male, and Ballard). Central's next two games are against 6A Dupont Manual and 6A St. Xavier. :yikes:

thats my team why not, and they said SC was by far the hardest in 3a, so i was just stating facts...TongueirateSho

cardsfan98, theses are your own words....look up and read it...It is by far the hardest schedule played by a 3A school....

The -only- thing missing from this Cardinal team is the "big play" ability. Without it, they'll continue to be susceptible to losing games like this. Dominating TOP is fine, but it isn't everything.

One of SC's scoring drives was a 20 play drive !! Putting together that kind of a scoring drive is THE highlight of the game. IMO, it's the single most difficult thing an offense can accomplish (that many plays consecutively without a killing penalty, big negative yardage play, or TO).

Kudos to JC's defense in making Sheldon Clark earn every single point. Central OTOH, couldn't drive but had just enough big plays.

Had to be a GREAT game !!

Congrats to the defense they stepped up and stopped sc when it counted and a great job from the kicker on the last drive for jc forced to punt he kicked the ball into the 5 yd line thats what jc needed a long drive with little time on the clock i think should have put the ball in the air more because it works and put the ball in 44 hands and let him bring down field he got positive yd on few carries feed him the ball good job eagles asked for a little larger win but a win is a win last years game was only won by 2 also sc 24 and jc 22 now lets get ready for bell !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Bubbles the reason for this was due to the fact of the jc players jumping up and down on the cardinal head and running their mouths and rubbing the jc helmets on the cardinal. SO thats why they asked them to get off the field.

Well cuppett, they did it and now that the truth has been posted about it bubbles, who does it look like it gives the black eye to, there was no need for that.

Ok I will eat my words by saying the toughest schedule. But my point was that they are playing a tougher schedule to get prepared for playoffs. I know the season hasn't started well but no one could disagree with the fact that if last nights game had went a little better for the cards that this one could have been a blowout. I think they have played well against bigger, ranked teams. So, my question is, how do you think they will play against Belfry, Pike Central, and East Ridge?
#52
Congrats to Johnson Central. and good Game plan by sheldon clark. Now we will welcome Johnson Central to the dudley hilton field!!

Your judging your statement that Belfry's schedule is rougher by what? the class of school or wins by opponents?Because I don't think Belfry does play a rougher schedule, all of sc opponents are ranked except east ridge which is also on belfry's schedule, but regardless we will both see if this strategy of playing tough schedules improves the teams for playoffs or not.And congrats to belfry on their win against LCC, what has happened to LCC ? thought they would have been competetive.

Another hard fought win for JC

good game cards u guys just keep getting better every week, keep your heads up,great game.I seen a post on here that said the game against sc would not help them ,if that dont nothing will 3a strong 5a week, think about it.

east ridge they win big...pc i think they win 10-14points and belfry i thinks its a toss up,it is at the rock this year so sc may be favored...

JC won the game so they owned the field last night.. most opposing teams that win huddle up in the middle of the field for post game speech by the head coach. nothing wrong with doing that. i dont agree with jumping on the cardinal head but High School kids let their emotions get the best of them sometimes during big games.. And Cardinalalumn i am almost postive you were part of the group that was hanging up signs about jj jude so you have no room to talk.. if somebody would have **** up signs about me and we won i would have jumped on that cardinal head all night.. you just ask for something like this to happen when you hang up signs about another player..

This was a very good game and could have went either way but jc came out on top.One td called out of bounds on sc but we still had our chances and didn't come through.Great game to watch and I believe both teams will learn a lot from it.As for the sportsmanship I believe parents should let coaches handle situations that involve players.Overall I thought the sportsmanship was pretty good.Good luck to both teams the rest of the year and neither team has anything to hang their heads about.

This is a flat out lie. Jc players, coaches, parents and fans always gather on the field after every game. Win or lose. I can guarantee all kids sit and listen to the post game speech and prayer after every game.
