Its Official Bell Co to Class 3A next year...

09Dores Wrote:thats a bunch of bull if you ask me, i respect bell co. an all, but i mean theres no sense in putting them in a district that everyone knows they'll win an always dominate an be on top. its kinda unfair in a way to the other teams cause their so weak. they need to be in a district with the some competition. they might as well just be handing them championships on a silver platter before they even stat. cause everyone knows that if they go to 3A they'll be on top for years and years to come. and no one will stop them.

Then what 3A schools would you put into Bell Co's District? Belfry and Sheldon Clark? 2 and 2.5 hrs away for both teams.
#32
Not quite sure of where each team stands regarding population but, if a 3a school elects to play up and is granted the request then I believe the next teams to be eligible to drop down from 4a would be Highlands and LexCath. I am not sure if either team would choose to drop down but it is interesting to think about.

Thats what was in the Cincy paper back in April. These could had changed.
#35
How can East Carter have that many boys and have such a hard time winning games????

BellCoBobcats09 Wrote:Thats what was in the Cincy paper back in April. These could had changed.

Thanks. One thing I noticed was that it had Shelby Co. in 6a. Shelby Co. just split into two schools beginning this school year. Both Shelby Co. and Collins are 4a, my guess would be their classification in the new realignment. I noticed that 1a and 6a are very small and everyone else (2a-5a) had very small classes, what is the logic with that? I foresee Hazard to start collecting championship trophies in 1a if this the way they keep the realignment.

I was told the same thing

Based on this list I say these are the four EKY districts.chemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Russell, Bath County, Lewis County, Fleming County and Mason County.
West Carter, East Carter, Magoffin County, Lawrence County and Morgan County.
Shelby Valley, Sheldon Clark, East Ridge, Pike Central and Belfry.
Bell County, Corbin, Knott County Central, Jackson County and McCreary County.

Based on the Cincy paper from a few weeks back it could be a little different.

I really hope that LC is not in this district that you have listed above.

I think Dudley knows alot more than we think. I say he done knows if LC and Highlands are going to stay in 4A or move down if possible. Thats the exact District Dudley told tonight for Bell Co.

LC is dropping to 3A next year. You can take that to the bank.

I dont worry as much about Lexington Cath as I do Highlands.

LC will be in 3a but will Highlands stay in this 4a proposed class or stay where they are in 5a?

I think Lexington Cath. and Highlands stay in 4a or play up, however, if a 3a team plays up in 4a one of these could drop to 3a. OMG

I totally agree here. Id rather play Lexington Catholic than Highlands anyday.

If Highlands does any moving at all its to stay in 4A. I dont see them moving down to 3A at all. Id rather have the Knights from Lexington than Fort Thomas.

BellCoBobcats09 Wrote:The District and Region for Bell Co in 3A is very very favorable for them to atleast get to the State Semi almost every single year.

Also Dudley said he isnt going anywhere anytime soon. He said the future looks bright for the Bobcats in 3A.

BellCoBobcats09 Wrote:I understand. I figured with it coming from the main man its probably 90% going to be the District. Im curious to see for sure who will be in the Region. A while back in the Cincy paper I think they showed Sheldon Clark and Belfry in Bell's Region.

4A will be scary with Boyle Co, Highlands, Johnson Central and so on.

KYcoalminer Wrote:Not even the GREAT Dudley Hilton knows what the districts will look like. Probably more of a guess.

I appologize, I haven't read thru all the post but I must say this thread just makes me giddy.

First of all yes, per the KHSAA the new alignment has be set and Bell is in 3A. Second, it has not be actually approved and voted on by the KHSAA until October. Dudley has nothing to do with that.

Third, and most importantly, personnally talked to Dudley in January and He wants nothing to do with being in the same class as Highlands. He actually said" if Highlands moved to 4A he would move to 3A or 5A" He wants nothing to do with Highlands. Sorry all you Bell Co. fans but that is a direct quote from you beloved coach and it stuck in this Highlands fans mind for a life time. I will never forget it and I have witnesses. Sorry.

Really can't blame him. He's not stupid.

So I'm sure Dudley is extremly happy in 3A where he will have a better chance of winning a state title than in 4A.

Just ask him.

Highlands is going no where. Actually the only reason a team can move up is if they have less then two teams in there district and are geographically confined.
#55
4A is going to be an awesome class.
#56
Why in the cincinnati paper they just about put all the louisville 6A public schools In 5A for .
#57
All yhea 5A next year is going to suck.Because there really no good teams in 5A no more if Highlands leaves.
#58
is there only 16 6A schools

bell will not dominate belfry because i see at least 3 state championships on pond creek . it will be fun to watch them play again. pure knock feast.

This year and next year Bell would dominate Belfry, IMO.

Two seasons from now will be a whole new ballgame though.
