You are absolutely correct, this is all very childish, I agree with you 100%! I will take it a step farther, its moronic, no its sub-moronic for anyone to sit there and say that someone who coached there 10 years ago is responsible for the way a program is today. I have reached the following conclusion, either I am dealing with a moron, and if that's the case, I can understand, because they don't have the intelligence to speak about anything with any type of sense, or I am dealing with someone who has a personal problem. If that's the case, then if this person was any type of a man, he would have dealt with it a long time ago, or now. I won't waste anymore time talking to this person, and I think it would be a good idea for him to do the same. If he still has an issue, I would ask him to refer to the second part of my conclusion .

Both teams have new coaches. Perry has to much speed and size. I pick Perry. Good luck

I hope that KCC can keep it respectable as did Casey County. Casey County is not a strong team either and maybe the Pats can keep it relatively close.

PCC by 7+ TDS.
When was the last time that Knott Co. have a good football team. The only time that i can remember was back in early 90's maybe late 80's.

I agree, I hope KCC makes it respectable. I think with PCCs speed and size they should easily win this but thats why the games are played. Most picked the Commodores to win 30+ last week against Casey including myself. KCC is a young team with not a lot of in game experinced, Sercy is only been with this team only about 3 full months at the most.I think if they keep him KCC will be better than it has been in long time and now with the support they need. PCC should win this one tommorrow pretty easily but with a few mental mistakes like last week KC could make a game. I just think PC will be to much for the Pats tommorow with all that speed. Good Luck to both!

This game should be over by halftime. PCC wins big.

I say this game may be a bit of a shocker. I believe Perry will/should win very easily but if they have a showing like they did last week then it could be a different story. I think this is going to be a different Knott football team then we've saw in the past. They may suprise a few people. With that said Perry should still handle them pretty easily.
PCC - 42
KCC - 14

Knott has lost both games so far this year...
Lost to SV by 66 and Lewis County by 45.
What kind of surprises are we to look forward with this year?
09-03-2010, 01:22 PM
Well I've not got to watch them this year but i know their new coach Tom Searcy knows what he's doing. They may not be able to make leaps and strides this year but i guarentee they look more organized on the field. That in itself is a suprise when it comes to Knott Co football lol.

I can agree with that.
I didn't like the Searcy move, though.
He didn't do a lot at PCC.

Nobody has done a whole lot at PCC. They have had a few decent years but nothing special. I only remember Bill Dixon having one good year at M.C.Napier and he coached there forever.

They've had a few playoff games in recent years....
not special by any means....
but Searcy went 0-10 once
That is the epitome of "not doing a lot"...

I think the biggest problem at PCC is that the players and fans don't set the bar high enough. In 08 when they hosted a home playoff game for the 1st time in school history you would have thought they won the region. They need to quit being staisfied with winning 7 or 8 games and get ****ry for some hardware like the other teams in the mountains, because I can promise you Letcher, Whitley, and Clay are looking to bring home some gold.

Before the move to 3A Searcy led PCC to a 5-5 regular season record ( the best in history at the time) In a very tough 4a district, with 2 playoff appearances.
I think that with the talent that was there when they moved to the 3a schedule about anyone could of coached them to a few 7-3 seasons. Those teams around 02 03 i think it was were pretty stacked.

They may have been stacked by PCC standards but by no means were they stacked compared to what legitimate football schools around here consider "stacked".
Searcy
98: 5 - 5
99: 4 - 7
00: 0 - 10
Winning 9 games out of 31.
In Brownes first year he went 7-4, a playoff birth, with losses to Boyd County, Bell County, Rockcastle County, and Leslie.
3 of those 4 teams were powerhouses at the time.

Look at what Searcy did at his other schools. Tom had a pretty good stance at up at Whitesburg.
