Pikeville 2010
#31
No pads yet but my Panthers are looking stronger & faster. They will be dangerous in single A this year. They are conditioning very well this year.
#32
pville is going no whaer fast new coach old coach it doesent matter their glory years are LONG GONE!!
#33
How many players are on this years team ? Who are the skilled players you are talking about and where will they play ? Thanks
#34
Pikeville got a big steal from Betsy Layne with Chase Hall will he see the field any? Have they passed any the last couple of weeks?????

From what I have seen he will see the field a lot and will be a great addition.
#38
And he's just a freshman.

I see 5-5 also...maybe 6-4, maybe 4-6. Depends on which way the upset goes.

Boyd Co.
Danville
Prestonsburg
Belfry
South Floyd
paintsville
Sheldon Clark
Phelps
Allen Central
Betsy Lane

After seeing this schedule i would guess 6-4 for realistic measures. I see Pikeville possibly playing danville and prestonsburg close but not sure if they can get the W.Boyle County,Sheldon Clark and Belfry in my opinion are for sure loss but heck you really dont know until the game is played. I do look for Pikeville to make some noise in the playoffs and i think they will get to play Pineville who i think will be a # 2 seed in district 7. I think what pineville has returning and what Pikeville has they will be equally matched and it will come down to who makes a mistake.

Boyd, not Boyle.

Im sorry i do not know where i got boyle at. must of been looking at something else while typing. But i expect Pikeville to beat Boyd by at least 10.

Panthers are looking good in practice. Randy Maynard shows more confidence at the qb. poition, as does several of the skill players.
Really impressed with our new man Chase Hall. Imo, these Panthers will make some noise in the post season.
#44
if pville wins more than 4 games it will be a good season considering what iv seen i watched them practice yesterday and i seen a 3 win team on that field

This coming from the same person that predicts 6 or 7 wins by ER this year. Pikeville is going to continue to be Pikeville in their district. I look for the Panthers to win at least 6 games....losses coming to SC, Belfry and Danville (look for the Admirals to bounce back after a down year last season). The Boyd Co. game is up in the air because I don't know much about them as of yet.

irish4 ur crazy !! a new coach new qb if pville wins six game ill pick them to win state
#47
Their new coach should've never left Pikeville in the first place....he was the head man there for a few years and had them in the Regional finals. He knows his stuff...was All-OVC at EKU and a heck of a safety. There isn't going to be much of a set back transitioning from Howard back to Mac. Pikeville is blessed with athletes year in and year out. The only team that might challenge them in the district would be Paintsville...Allen Central lost their whole offense with the Crowder twins gone due to graduation, Phelps is Phelps, Betsy Layne is still Betsy Layne, South Floyd is still South Floyd and I look for them to top Pburg due to Pburg's loss of personnel due to graduation also. That's 6 right there. If any of those teams can beat Pikeville...please explain why.

IMO
Best case scenario: 7-3 Losses to Belfry, PBurg, and SC
Worst case scenario: 5-5 Sweep the District

Playoffs Best Case: Regional Runner-Up
Playoffs Worst Case: Lose in the 2nd Round

These seem to be pretty fair. They are going to have to prove a lot of people wrong. Someone needs to step up and make it known that the attitude has changed and it isn't the same soft Pikeville you have seen the last 3-4 years.

YOU SEEN a 3 win team?? A good prediction from someone with a lot of credibility. I don't think i would be making predictions unless i took some refresher courses. Your grammar is terrible! But, i'll tell what. I'll remind you of that foolish prediction after week ten.

I believe Paintsville will be a 3 seed this year. I think Besty Lane will be a surprise and get the 2 seed. I think they beat Paintsville by 2 . 14-12. I may be given down the road for the prediction but oh well and everyone has to make some bold statements and i believe that may be the 1st before the season ever starts.LOL

I do think Betsy Layne has the potential and also, you have to look at pikeville being the favorite, even if they are playing with 4 guys, they go in year in and year out and the district champions.

Hes an ER fan. So that, by itself, makes him an expert on 3 win teams. LOL!!!!

From what i saw, he's going to be a valuable addition to our team. Very quick on his feet, as well as showing a lot of strength.

WOW!!! I was at practice last night and was really impressed with the three new kids that transferred in! Chase Hall looks like a stud on the rise! Brenton Belcher is really going to help this team on both sides of the ball! I saw a new kid who I don't know yet, but he plays QB and has a killer arm for a freshman. He looked really impressive in throwing drills. The future looks bright for the Panthers!
