Hazard 2016
Tyler Collins will be a weapon this year kicking. Automatic on extra points and leg strength getting into the impressive range on field goals. Expect from 30 yard line in he'll hit most of them. Can hit from longer too. Will be a junior after having a solid sophomore season.
The junior and sophomore classes are very good across the board on both sides of the ball.

I wonder if the girl will kick in high school.

I hope so. She would be a great back-up kicker.
Word is yes she will be playing. She's a tough kid. Coaches will make it possible for her to play if she wants to do so.
Reports from weight room are impressive. Team will be one of the strongest Hazard teams in a long while.
Reports on 40 times show a faster team as well.
Defense will be older and much stronger Kade Hollon 6-4 235 at 4.8 junior. Austin Smith DT 270 5.1 junior.
DBs all run 4.7-4.8 I think as will linebackers Isaiah Bentley is new and will help on both sides of the ball as well as another new kid who should be a presence on defense as well.
Reece Fletcher will see some time but with almost everyone back the freshmen will need a year probably I would guess
Offense Corey Smith 4.6s RB junior Matt Francis 4.7. Junior Skyler Pelfrey 4.75 Y. Soph
Blair in baseball but will be in that range.
Jason Johnson is 4.8+ I think but huge receiver at 6-4 with great hands.
Biggest gains will be speed and strength of O line and D line.
A year for the young kids has made a huge difference IF they continue the work ethic and determination they have right now.
The east should have competitive teams. Pikeville will still be good but not heads above the field like last year. Raceland and Paintsville will compete. Returning a lot Harlan and Pineville also will be better.
Hazard picked up its 10th game.

Sep 2 16 Letcher Co Central away
Sep 9, 16 Somerset away

Isaiah Bentley I believe I remember hearing his name for Letcher last season. But I hear he has been at hazard for a while. But there is another kid added to hazards depth.
I could use a height and weight on Cade Holland if one of the Hazard fans can help.
Kade Holland I think is 6-3 230-235
Kade Holland I'd a big fast physical kid. He has the frame to carry 245-250 and still be athletic. He and Austin Smith on the DLine will be a real problem for any team to deal with. Both kids get off blocks and find the football. If the pieces fall into place on defense this Hazard team will be way better than last year. And still will be dominated by underclass men. There will be some seniors in the rotations on O and D lines and Jason Johnson will be a senior. So most of this team will be intact for the next two years.
Junior class includes Corey Smith, Austin Smith, Kade Holland, Bryce Spencer, Robbie Davidson, Brackston Whitaker, Isaiah Bentley, Gage May, Dawson Hill, others
Sophomores Skyler Prlfrey, Bailey Blair, Andy Baker, Isaiah Stupart, Ben Adams, Mckenzie Caudill, Bryson Sayers,
Others as well will play a lot
Jordan Hill, Xzavier Caudill and Johnson are seniors

Haven't heard anything but maybe someone else has fill us in anyone???

Know nothing about transfers. Kids have really changed since last year. Big difference in strength and speed. I can tell you QB will be solid and running game will be physical

Knott or hazard??
Hazard. Knott I have no idea

Hazard returns 15 juniors, 11 sophomores and 14 freshmen. 40 not counting the Bentley kid and the in coming freshmen.
Blue n gold do u know how hazard is doing this summer so far?

They've had 37-40 out for most of the spring, not counting a few baseball players. Add that with some freshman who will come out after dead period and when school starts, it's looking like between 40-50 to start the year. They are considerably stronger and much faster than last year. The weight room and a years worth of maturity has done wonders for this group. They are now starting to look like football players. Couple that with the experience gained by being forced in the rotation last year for some of the younger kids with the returning experience of starters that were lost last year like Braxton Whitaker and they have the chance to make some noise. They will have to earn it on the field, though. Hard work in the weight room has to translate to hard work when the pads come out. If they can put that part of the season together they should be as solid as anyone around.

Haven't really talked to anybody this summer other than a couple of the kids. Blitzingback gave a pretty good summary, tho.

Xavier Caudill 5,10 270

Bruce Spencer 5,10 260
Austin Smith 5,10 248
