Yes they have, college scouts are at about all our games now. These kids have all you want in A college lineman. Weight, speed, height, and all 4 are A and B students with each scoring plus 25 on the Act, one who is probably going to play for one of the military academies has A 4,0 they are the reason Williamsburg has put running clocks in first halfe on 8 football teams, no other team in KY has done that ever.

maybe they will still have a chance then, even with the weak schedule and running clocks

MonsterMan Wrote:Williamburg has a great team this year. But how many D-1 players have you faced. How many D-1 SEC players that run a 4.4 40 and have already signed have you played? Even with JC's "weak schedule" they have faced that. Our FG kicker has the State record and was 4 for 4 in FG last Friday.
Big step from 1A to 4A and it should be. I hope a Moutnain 1A team brings home the hardward, but to compare or say a game would be good between a 1A and 4A school is just not practical!
Who are the D1s you have and what D1 have you played aganst? I am not doubting you I just wonder that is A fast 40 who would that be. we have 2 tackels that I am sure will go D1. SEC schools are looking at both of them. Hopefully

"they are the reason Williamsburg has put running clocks in first halfe on 8 football teams, no other team in KY has done that ever."
The way I see it, we have 2 choices.
1. Williamsburg is the greatest football team ever assembled in the state of KY.
Move over Trinity.
2. Williamsburg has played 9 very pedestrian football teams, and put running clocks on 8 of them.
There's about 30 other teams that could do the same, or better, with that schedule.

They according to you could but I didn't say they couldn't I said they have not ever. And no one probably will.

I think you're right. No team will probably ever challenge that "record."
Why? Because 99.9% of the teams playing like to challenge themselves and get better and improve, not watch their Freshmen play Varsity ball for 3Q every Friday night.

I don't know if that is true and I'm not sure if you do either? The "running clock" is a fairly new thing, and I know there are several teams in the past 20 years that could have possibly done it, especially Highlands.

I actually underestimated the number just a little bit, for the sake (and sanity) of 64.
Williamsbug opponents have a record of 28-54. Only two 1A schools opponents have worse records. Pineville 27-50-2, and Jenkins 27-43-1.
There's a lot of candy corn (it is Halloween!) on that schedule; easy to squish between your fingers.

Maybe the Burg has secret plays to use? One of those 6'8" 330 pound lineman that run 4.4 40's, as running back, ala Refridgerator Perry?

Mayfield has film on all 9 games the Burg has played.
There's one big problem though. 430 minutes of the film is of their Freshmen, 2 minutes is of their varsity.

IMO, an argument can be made that Pikeville is the best team in Eastern Kentucky, but not Williamsburg. Williamsburg is no doubt a top five 1A team in Kentucky, but I don't think you can put them in the same catagory as Pikeville at this time. Pikeville's best wins include; Belfry, Prestonsburg, and Hazard. While Williamsburg's best wins include a (5-4) Newport team, and a (4-5) Pike Central team. I do believe Williamsburg is a very good football team, but with them playing a weak schedule, it is hard to determine how good they actually are.
