Why do you even care. Do you dont think it was attacking our fans by his remark, (not enough talent)? Its obvious that you and the other LC fans dislike Bell Co and we are used to that, it comes by winning ALOT of games. Its also obvious you have bashed Bell Co throughout the playoffs and even predicted a win for LC to beat us. So once again this is a Bell/Boyle Co thread not a Rock thread.

I am a Boyle fan, but I agree with BCB09. He is just defending his team from attacks from LC and Rock fans. This should be a thread about two GREAT teams that played perhaps the best high school game that I have ever seen. For the most part, fans and players from both sides showed class in victory and defeat. BCB09 did not start the conversation with other fans bases. If the other fans have to hate, they need to start their own threads.

I don't see it quite that way, but then again I wasn't on here boasting with comparative stats and making statements like:
* I guarantee Rees will not see 100 yards
* We have Five backs who can all play
* Physical wins over vs. finesse.
Sorry, but last year, when Bell won this kind of game, almost every Boyle poster on another site was on the next day giving congrats and making no excuses the next morning about "if they had done this."
Truth is that it's nearly 12:00 and on any other Bell game thread there would be 5 or more pages by now.
I'll be on here next Saturday whether Boyle wins or loses to Lone Oak.

1.) How is it narrowly escaping a butt whipping when had he missed the fg, the game would have gone to OT? I've never heard of a butt whipping tie.
2.) Okay, so one Boyle County fan makes the whole fan base not classy? I am glad that most Bell County fans aren't letting that one ignorant person cloud their view of us.
3.) I guess you say all of this while ignoring the classless posts that many Bell County fans left on here as well. If you condemn one, condemn them both. Both teams have some ignorant fans somewhere. I've seen enough from both sides all week leading up to the game.

 I find it hard to see how Boyle's butt would have been kicked if the FG missed. The facts "FROM THE STATS" show time of possession and productivity clealry in the Rebel's favor. That was especially true in the 2nd half. When two big rushing teams face off and one goes for OVER 200 yards and one is held UNDER 100 yards, "whose butt do you think was being kicked?" :please:

Actually Davenport had 53 yards on 22 carries.
Rees had 196 yards on 34 carries.

I don't even know what to say to this. Bell had one sustained drive the whole game and Boyle smacked Bell in the mouth from the 2nd quarter on and flat wore them down. They were beat up and down the field. Had it not been for 2 what I would call hail mary passes where Boyle defenders mistimed their jumps on the ball then Bell would have been completely shut down after the 1st quarter. Where exactly was the butt whipping to be had? Hats off to Bell they played a **** of a game but to say we narrowly escaped a butt whipping is laughable.

And I will say this. I heard alot of people ragging on Boyle's schedule but it set them up nicely to play a 4 quarter game. Christian County made them play 4 quarters to end the regular season. Yeah its great Bell played Alcoa but what good does that do you 13 weeks down the road when you are beating everyone 56-0 and only playing 2 quarters of football? Bell wore down last night because they weren't in 4th quarter games like Boyle.

I guess Lawrence, Rockcastle, Whitley, Johnson Central, Marion, Knox Central, and of course Alcoa were all week teams. For the few un-educated football fans that Boyle has that is trying to stir stink with Bell, the game was decided by a field goal in the final 3 seconds Boyle played a great last two possessions that controlled the clock. There was some things that Bell did that was totally un-characteristic of what they had done all year not because of any great thing that Boyle had done but for example why didn't Bell run a screen pass that Boyle was giving to them the entire game and had worked for them in other times. IF the field goal had been missed could it be possible that the shoe be on the other foot this morning. Boyle players, coaches, and fans, it's obvious the respect you have for the Bell program because of the amount of celebration and excitement when the 3 points went through the up rights. Truely as a whole you have great class and congrats on the victory, enjoy it because some of these same folks that dislike Bell will hate you next year simply because you beat them and you are a winner. :1:

I was at the game lastnight and it was the best one I have saw all year, congrats to Boyle, even though I would have loved to see my Bell County Bobcats go to Bowling Green! IMO Boyle played the way all teams should, they were down going into the 2nd half and they didn't let up they kept fighting and they won, that is the way good teams with good coaches and great kids with heart win ballgames! I did see a lady after the game taunt John Dudley and she should be ashamed, but with that said I felt the rest of the fans were just that, GREAT FANS, that place was rockin! To Rocket01 I think you are a trouble maker and are jealous of Bell County, have you heard the saying if you can't beat'em join 'em, you should drink the kool-aid it has a great flavor-LOL!!

I for one have nothing but respect for Bell's program.
However I do find it interesting that you immediately talk about uncharacteristic play by Bell. Could Boyle's defensive speed have anything to do with that? Davenport may have had as many carries last night as he's had in any one game all year. But he only produced 53 yards rushing.
I think the obvious key was that Bell only got 3 points from the one turnover in the game. Other than the one TD drive, Boyle's defense shut them down, especially in the 2nd half.
That coupled with the way Boyle was patient in giving the ball to MacShera 34 times instead of trying to "get it all back at once" in the 2nd half was the difference. Bell's defense played great but they had to be tired with all the long drives in the 3rd and 4th quarters.
Either team can point to missed opportunities: (Boyle: fumble and penalty early 4th quarter that turned 3rd and 2 to 4th and long. Bell: Drive that ended with no points and the late hit that kept Rebel TD drive alive)
The same was true in the last game between these two. Just like Bell made more big plays in '08 to win it, Boyle made more of them in '09.

Great game by both team's. Boyle was better then Bell Friday. To boyle fan's, Coaching staff, and player's great job. You may not know this but for coach to go to trick play's was a great statement to how well your def. played. Have not seen game film but in live time I thought that the 15 yard pen. was a close call. I guess this is a judgement call. What did everyone else think. I don't wan't the answer to be that's what beat Bell because that was not, or that's just sour grapes. Just a close call. As for my buddy Rocket 01 way to stay to form and being a fan of everyone Bell play's. History is History. Go Boyle, from a fan of Bell.

I said it weeks ago the player Bell County missed the most was Monte Merrick. What if that type of a kicker had been there. Would there be a diff outcome. Great job to both teams.

I remember you saying that in the pregame thread. I think that was a key piece missing for the Bobcats when you break it down. They would have gone for the FG on the one long drive instead of a First Down. But that's why one year is never quite like the other.

One of the Bell people (a coach perhaps) was holding her back. I was near the top row of the stands on the home side and watched it for several minutes. I told my wife that I wish she would get past the coach so someone would knock her on her ***. That and the headbutt on Lamar Dawson in the first quarter (everyone in the stadium but the officials saw it) were two nasty things that didn't quite meet the "great sportsmanship" label that some keeping throwing out on here.

Haven't looked at it yet but will let you know when I get a chance to.
I still think the great thing about both of these teams is that both years they have played it was so close that it was easy to say, "this break" or "that play" might have changed the outcome.
That's really what you want when you get this far and be known as a contender every year. Congrats to Bobcats and may the Rebels "Finish the Fight."
