He don't won't to be a teacher if so all he has to do is take the test. Lol Tim is a great guy and he would be a great hire for Knox.

No way do I dislike Coach Tim! Never met him or don't think I even know anything about him. Someone said that he didn't need a teaching job, I said " what does he do for a living." Does he work in education or run his own business?

I don't know who the next coach will be. Some of the names thrown out there are some very interesting thoughts though. Steve wright is a great coach but I think he will stay where he is right now, just don't see him making a move. Patterson is also a interesting choice but not sure if he is ready for the high school level. Parks is very intriguing idea he has the experance and talent to take this team to a new level.
I guess we will know in the next few weeks who the new panther coach will be. I can only hope that whom ever it is is ready to handle the pressure that will come with it. Good luck to whom ever gets the job!!!!
Go panthers!!!!!

I really think Knox will make a mistake if they pass up Tim Parks and give it to someone that has no high school coaching that would not make any since at all but they have done thing's that has not made since before.

I never said Tim doesn't need a teaching job..Tim buys property for a big corporations company in eastern Kentucky....And he is good at it and both sides are happy in the end.....Just like Knox will if they hired him.......Clay will be crying in the street if tim gets the job. nicker:

Crying 64? Lol easy... I know you're trying to sell Tim, and he's a great guy as well as coach but slow down.

I was just trying to see if anybody in Clay County was keeping up with this thread. Didn't really mean crying. But watching from the streets of Manchester....

Tim Parks is Al Hollands right hand man @ hazard after whitaker left. One of the best up in coming assistant coaches in the state. 64SUR eriously: Tim has turned down probably 5 head coaching positions in the last few years. Waiting on the right opportunity to coach in the 13th Region. :truestory:

First let me start off by saying I do believe Tim Parks will get this job, he's the best candidate of all the people I'd heard. I just want to correct or give my opinion on some of 64SUR's post. I've followed Hazard pretty close the last few years, I have half-brother on the team and Tim Parks was not Al Hollands right hand man, players say Parks don't even show up half the time but he has a new born so thats understandable. Didn't see Parks at any of Hazard summer ball stuff, so I wouldn't call him Hollands right hand man. And as for Clay County, why would they be crying? They're back 2 back region champs. They have something working for them.

I have not heard of Tim Parks. He must be a very good coach. I do believe that we will hire someone with head coaching experience. With that said, there are some good Head Coaches with experience that have applied. I also believe that they will be in the building teaching.

I had no control over what Corbin hired, JMO. I have one voice here. No homerun , he said no and is staying where he is. We will hire the best we feel for our school and program and kids. It is always a gamble to who will workout. Thanks for your help.

The head coach of any sport needs to be in the building. It is not a job u want someone showing up at the dismissal bell doing.

Billy Hicks has won more games and won more Sweet 16 games than any coach in Kentucky high school basketball history. But, just think of what he could have done if he was "in the building" and not "showing up at the dismissal bell."

I believe he would have to give up his principle job at the middle school first, I just don't see him doing that.
