I think the Bell Co fans are in store for some that they're not used to seeing on Log Mountain and that would be a Bell County loss. I think will all of the losses from last years team, it will be hard for the Bobcats to beat a team like LexCath.

I think this game will be who can score the most. Can Bell Co stop the LC air attack? Can LC stop Bell Co's running attack with 3 great backs this year? Also our QB this year has wheels as well. He was our TE last year.

I would expect the Bobcats to have another top notch team because it seems like there are always players that step-up and replace the players that graduated. I am just interested to see how much of an impact will be made by the loss of Coach Hilton.

Not much. Mills was under Hilton before. Mills took a KC team from winning 2 games a year to 11. Also KC played Bell the closest last year besides Boyle Co. Bell has better athletes too.

BTW they will also be favored over Boyle this year. Boyle lost most of there defense, all of their OL, QB, leading rusher, and do everything Dawson.:lmao::lmao:
But I will still pick Boyle.

It is a Shame we will not be able to find out this year. Due to the lack of Bell dropping K.N.O.X off their schedule. Just saying.

Can you give us the measuring stick you are using for this. How can you tell us who has more athletes?

How did Knox Central get brought up in this thread? Let's stick to the subject. I got Lexington Catholic(of course, another Boyle County fan picking Catholic) to win the game. Kyle Bolin will have a huge day. I look for Davenport to have a huge day for Bell County because he will be running behind a big, experienced line but at the end of the day, I just see Lexington Catholic out scoring the boys from Log Mountain. It's going to be a GREAT game and I really wish I could see it. I love Log Mountain and will miss it. Good luck to both teams.

I agree. Hope Bell can pull it out. If this game was later in the year we would stand a great chance. Our D is going to be young at first.

It would be the same outcome like all the others.

Since Lex cath dosen't have a defense,and Bell's is so young i'll take Bell 49 to 42.

Couple of misconceptions in this thread.
1. LexCath does not return most of their skill. Granted Bolin and Bush are back but they also lost 4 skilled players on offense.
2. LexCath has been to Bell before in 2007 and won.
Should be a good game. Interesting to see what Bell will look like in 2011.

Last year LC didnt have a defense. This year all those sophomores are now Juniors with a year or experience. Not saying that Lex Cath's defense is great....... but much improved.
Lexington Catholic 31
Bell Co. 24

So they brought back their O-line though, right? And Bolin and Bush?
Yep, still taking LC.

lex cath cant stop the run they return alot but still they are vulnerable against the run...Bell county is under new leadership but cory davenport will prolly lacerate the defense which will open up the pass but look for a heavy dose of the run.........I like bell county on log mountain

Football1 Wrote:Who will kick for Bell this year? JD handled the duty well after bionic leg went to WKU. That is one of the most overlooked parts of the game in the mountains. Soccer programs are not feeding us kickers and straight on kicking is a lost art that gets butchered by coaches who don't have a clue who to do it. Most kids try to scoot to the side then still kick with their toe and most don't even use a square toe shoe.
Looks like a freshman named Hayden Gilbert may have won that kicking spot!
