LOL, Clay could play Browns, Vikings, 49ers, and Pats and PCC schudule would still be tougher so some fans because those teams would have a combine record of 1-8.

Secondly, they play in the last district game of the year. This could very well be for the district championship if both of these teams are undefeated in the district up to that point.
good point

Both teams won't be undefeated at that point because Harlan is going to beat Whitley on Friday night.
CUBS WIN!!!

Lol, Zaga.
But as for the thread. SOS doesn't really matter, any team can get beat on any night. Remember the Michigan/App. State game in 2007? I'm just saying SOS does help you prepare for district games, but theyre not essential because the truely better team shouldn't have a problem beating them without help from Non-district teams.

I have to believe PCC should win the district imo only Clay could derail the Doers and they will have t defeat a good PCC team that has all the weapons to win with, just my opinion speed and strength is with PCC so it could very much decide who wins district when they play slight edge goes to Clay because they are at Home, and cookings good at Clay, lol!!!

I think that's gonna be the game that decides district myself.
And remember....
that will be Perry's FIRST away game.

I think this is one of the best districts in the state for football. Each game is fun to watch and be a part of. However, I feel for anyone that goes to PCC and Letcher this year. Not only do you have to play a good opponent but also the refs. Go Clay!!

It may not be the strongest district in the state, but it sure has to be the funnest.

Itâs amazing to me how everyone in the state thinks that every sports team in Clay County gets a break from the officiating. I agree Bobby and his refs would put it to teams back in the day. However, the Clay County football team has never been that lucky!!
ANY team that goes to PCC and Letcher gets cheated!!! Bottom line

I have been with teams that have gone to Clay. Middle school and high school. The officiating is not as saintly as you claim. I have heard the horror stories of PCC and Letcher as well. I have personally seen some screwy deals on Clay's field though.

You don't even have 10 posts and you're already going on about other teams getting breaks from the refs....

The bottom line is whoever loses likes to blame it on the refs.

Honestly, I think Whitley, Clay, Perry, Harlan, and even Letcher could win this district. As ive said before it could come down to a tie breaker.
Fact is, one of these teams are going to be setting at home come playoff time. This first week of district games should give us a good idea who the better teams in this district are.
The Whitley-Harlan and Perry-Letcher games are really big. The losers of these game, which could be any of them, are going to be playing catch up through the rest of the district and two losses would pretty much assure that you wont win district.

It will definitely be a big week for the district.
I expect the favored teams Harlan and Perry to pick up Ws!

After tonight I think things are a little bit more clear.
Three teams in the district are 2-0 and three teams are 0-2.
I believe at this point everybody would agree that Letcher and North are just awful at this point in the season and will be your two teams left out of the playoffs.
I think Whitley will be the 4 seed unless they beat Perry in a couple of weeks. I think the Harlan-Clay game will be your district Champion. Perry could pull it off but i dont see them beating both of these teams and if they did manage one win out of this i think they have a good possibility of losing at Whitley in a couple of weeks.
I see this district entering the playoffs like this.....
1. Clay County
2. Harlan County
3. Perry County Central
4. Whitley County
Three teams in the district are 2-0 and three teams are 0-2.

Whoever wins the Perry/Clay game next week is in the drivers seat and will more than likely win district. I can't see Harlan beating those two teams.

Still a lot of football to be played. I could see Clay beating Perry, Perry beating Harlan, and Harlan beating Clay. All 3 teams are 2-0 in district.

LOL the dreaded tie breaker, i would think Perry would win it with all there non district wins, but i dont think those teams had very many wins.
