One which part of her statement did she indicate that this was from a JC fan? :moon:

Seemed to be a lot of cramping on both sides but JC seemed to wear down a little more than Boyle. Middle of the 3rd qtr Hall looked spent. Great kid, played a great game but he looked spent. Just a theory but we seemed to get a little break from the heat most of the week and then on game day it pops back up again and I'm not sure it didn't catch some of the boys and maybe some coaches off guard a little.

The part where she said "Yes, I may add JC has improved or maybe just did better at home. I hope you win the rest of your games but don't cut down one of our kids because he is better than any kid in the country healthy!!" Geez bub who else would she be talking about.

Yeah and honestly i dont see how three of there starting o-linemen start on the d line too. That takes alot out of the big guys. LOL

As someone mentioned earlier, good call on game of the week!

Yeah it is. Thats mountain football. We had to play iron man ball against Highlands when i was in high school.

What does that mean?

Does it mean that mountain teams can't develop depth on the lines or in other key spots?

I've seen a lot of mountain teams that develop their lines to play one way and they are pretty productive. See Bell County for an example.

Sorry, but let me clear up something. #5 is not my son, maybe adopted son.: Devan Hale is my son and he is #14. I defend #5 because his Dad is deceased and his mother wouldn't be on here. Lamar didn't have his best game for sure, but I just thought someone was judging him on one game. He is one of the best kids in the country and is one of the top recruited kids in country and state. He is one great kid! I will be the first to admit there is no stand out just a different one hopefully for each game. Congrats to Keith, Big D came from a junior!

I figured that honor might belong to the late 80's Pikeville, the mid 90's Breathitt team, or Corbin in the mid 70's, or even Lynch back in the early 60's or so.

Bell might be the "winningest team" (based on total wins) but I don't know about winning percentage. (Still they have a great winning % the last 3 years but so did the teams I mentioned above.)

I was shocked too when they said it on Wednesday night.

2007 12-1
2008 15-0
2009 12-2
2010 1-0
--------------
Total: 40-3

Whats awesome is the 3 games they did lose, those teams were State Champs those years.

No that means that when I played we had a total of 30 players and after losing 6 to injury and a large part of that being freshman we had to play both ways. We couldn't get kids out to play. Alot of them didn't have support at home or a way to get to practice. Plus alot of parents still beleived you go to school till you can go to work in the mines. Its gotten a lot better now though.

I've seen "iron man" teams, don't get me wrong, just hard to be successful today with those numbers that way.

I saw the '84 Danville Admirals win the AAA state title and go 13-0 with a varsity roster of 27. But that was by far the exception to the rule. (As Tom Duffy often was. :biggrinSmile

I remember that Breathitt won 42 consecutive in the mid 90's.

I have to think those Pikeville teams had at least one or two unbeaten in their three year run.

My hats off to the Bobcats, I just thought some of the others would have posted an even more impressive resume but the seasons are a little longer now than then because of the length of the playoffs.

You quoted me but I am not sure if you meant to.

I was told Lamar was cramping up as soon as he got off the bus. He is and has always been our most notorious cramper for the past few years. No surprise there at all. He'll be fine.

Lamar wouldn't be cramping if he had someone to take care of him! I sure wish I could do more for him. I hope he gets every thing that he really deserves. I wish they could of seen the hit he put on Coach Mason's son today. That is why he is the step above. He is a power house and Leader. Thanks for taking up for him.:Thumbs: Go Rebels Defend the Pride!

No problem. I agree with everything you said. Let the haters hate. Maybe word will get back to him and that may fuel some extra motivation for him. As if he needs extra motivation.

I wish I could have seen that hit.
