Pike County girls basketball, who will win it all?
#61
As I said earlier in this thread Pikeville hadn't been challenged yet, they were tonight and didn't live up to all the hype, they were taken completely out of their game by a solid TEAM defensive effort.

No MVP's you mean? After the Dorton game, they need some work and quick. We are going to Pikeville on OCT. 5th. Can't wait.

By the looks of the score Dorton did have a great defensive effort. They pretty much shut all the Pikeville offense down. It is early in the season, everyone is going to lose and bounce back. They will learn from their mistakes i'm sure. Just remember it takes the TEAM to lose as well as win. Good job wildcats. I do not think you surprised anyone though you are a good team.

You guys shouldn't make personal judgements on 8th grade KIDS. Whether they play bad or good in a game isn't fair to either of them. Girls are going to have up and down games. Be easy on them; we all have kids playing and you sure wouldn't want negative comments on here for your child to read. Nobody sets out 2 have a bad game.

Easy question afterall with a very definite answer. Dorton, they have all of the superstars: rebounders, thiefs(steals), mvps, and what ever other category it takes to win games. They have it covered and proved it easily. Dorton over Pikeville by 25 when the tournament comes. And since we have a team effort we have the train....who needs the engine!!!

This is so true. Kids this age tend to get down on themselves easily. It is just a game and as parents it is our job to say keep going, work hard and try to learn and win next time. All kids are doing a good job by just trying to play, and losing is hard enough without being dogged by adults giving negative feedback.
