Agree. Laughable !
#62
Real Badman Wrote:Why is that funny?

Are you saying it is funny because I was wrong? Its not like its the first time Pikeville beat Paintsville, and then lost in the second match-up.

For the record, Belfry would win by 3+ TDs when healthy TongueirateSho

And you would be wrong like you usually are when you pick against Pikeville.Confusednicker:

How many times did I pick against Pikeville?
#64
You picked Paintsville to win both games. You picked Ridgeview to beat Pikeville and you picked Mingo to win. The only time you picked the Panthers was against Bardstown, you actually said Bardstown wasn't very good, Panthers roll. Bardstown turned out to be pretty dang good. You should prolly stop picking games there Nostradamus, or you need to let the hate go. Namaste

Thanks, I was just curious if I could trick someone dumb enough to look it up.:welcome:

No but really though 4 out of 13 not bad. I didn't get a Pikeville education, must be why I don't do pickin' well. I'll go back up the holler overyonder.
#66
Well you only picked those 5 so you were actually 1-4, not 4 outta 13. It pains you too much to pick them to win. I’m pretty sure we are all from hollers here pal. They dropped the grading scale so maybe you’d have a chance now. Your disdain is obvious and I just enjoy pointing it out to you. Peace be with you!!!

And the ability to pick winners in football games.

Dude I am messing with you. I think you are way too serious and should have fun on here.
#69
Real Badman Wrote:Also curious to see how Pikeville would play against Bell County, DeSales, Fern Creek, Mayfield, and Somerset.... Lots of "whatif's."

Running clock on them all, since we are going by opinions and it will never happen. Might take Pikeville to the 4 quarter to get one on Desales they had a pretty good defense.
#70
I think Pikeville deserves to be ranked higher than Belfry at the end of the season, but I wouldn’t call either team THE favorite if they were to have met the first weekend in December.

Both were very, very much improved and healthy.

Haha Bob just saw this. We had so much more fun back in the day messing with that Northern site. People are way too serious nowadays.

#55PirateFan Wrote:Pikeville deserves credit, they beat Belfry on Pond Creek. Something not done very often and is only done by pretty good teams. And Pikeville was a good team. So hats off to the Panthers. Not many gave them a chance but they went to Belfry and done it anyway. But if you think that not having Dixon didn't play a huge role in that win then some folks on here are out of their minds. Yeah, the Panthers won and have the bragging rights, and they should but Belfry should be ranked ahead of Pikeville in the final poll.

Dixon missed alot of games this year and still ended the season with 1,000 plus rushing yards. Not only that, the kid was the MVP in the 3A State Championship game going for 228 yards and 3 touchdowns against a pretty solid and undefeated Bell County team. So you really don't think he would have made a difference in a one point game at home? Come in now.

BUT...That was the Pikeville team that beat paintsville by I think 1 point, How would they do against the Pikeville team that beat Paintsville by 43 and could have by 70 if they wanted to.
#75
Belfry wins. The Belfry team in December wins by 2 touchdowns easy. That’s why Belfry is ranked higher. Get over it. You got Belfry early when we had injury’s everywhere

:eyeroll:Get over your loss to Pikeville on your home field.
It was early for Pikeville too genius.
#77
The point is the injury’s and several key players out genius. Just accept the fact the everyone knows that in December Belfry had the better team and that’s why they was ranked higher
#78
Just accept the fact that Belfry will continue to dominate Pikeville and they will continue to get a win every 12 years or so
#79
Belfry doesn’t play the Pikeville game like its there super bowl. We did exactly what we wanted to do. Got better but more importantly got healthy. And by December was the best team in 3A and Pike County

If Pikeville is not content at being the top 1A football team in the state, then there is a simple solution - petition KHSAA to play up to 3A and actually compete for the 3A state title. Upsetting one of the nation's top 3000 teams every few years does not make Pikeville a top 10 program in Kentucky.

Seeing Pikeville compete with Belfry and Ashland for a regional title for a few years would be very interesting. My guess is that with the RPI system in place, Johnson Central might even be willing to add a Class 3A Pikeville team to its schedule.
#82
Exactly what I was saying. Pikeville’s super bowl week 4 lol. We play for a bigger picture. That’s why we didn’t rush players back to try and win a game week 4 of schedule. It was just a poll that had Belfry ahead of Pikeville at the end of the season. When Belfry was healthy and got the everyone playing they was a completely different team. Some thought better than Pikeville at the end of the season. You Pikeville fans can’t handle it. It’s pathetic really

Pikeville couldn't be happier where their program is at. If JC fans are content being 4A champs, little Class A Pikeville shouldn't even enter their minds.

We don't have to handle anything.
We. Beat. You. On. Your. Home. Field.
Keep on making the same tired excuses though. And if you think Belfry is Pikeville's super bowl you are nuts. That game means a lot more to Belfry fans than Pikeville fans, fact...

Just because I don't have a dog in the fight, doesn't mean that I should not have an opinion. Winning the 1A state title is a great accomplishment, but there is a reason for dividing football teams into classes. In a December game between Pikeville and the 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, or 6A champs, my money would be on the champion of the larger class.

I totally support your right to wager your hard-earned cash any way you like. And IMO you would win more than you would lose. But sometimes you would lose.

No doubt that would be the case.

Still think Belfry is a top 10 team!! Especially the way they played in the championship game!! They play like they did that day & it’ll take one Hell if a football team to beat them!!

Don't understand your reasoning here 75. Pikeville finished the season 14-0 and 1-A Champions against a proven and worthy opponent, Paintsville with a 43-0 shut out . One thing that stands out with Pikeville is 8 running clocks this past season against good competition. Now Belfry on the other hand ended the season 11 -3 and a 3 -A state Championship against a good Bell Co. team.
When Belfry got to full strength, they were a better team at season's end. Now, to say Belfry ended as the best 3-A team, got to agree. But to say they ended the season as the best team in Pike Co., got to respectfully disagree. When you add it all up, Pikeville is.
#90
It means more to Belfry fans. That’s hilarious. We don’t shut the town down and dance under the lights for a regular season win September.😂. And yes Pikeville did end up with the better record but that’s not the debate. I hate to keep repeating myself but point is when we got healthy and actually had our whole team playing we were a completely different team. One that Pikeville could not have beat. Dominated Ashland, beat a Desales team that would have also beat Pikeville then beat Bell county who was also undefeated and had beat everyone by 40pts. Which also proves my point that a undefeated team that played Belfrybin December would be beat
