This 13th region stuff is hilarious. Sounds like the spring recruiting season has started early. Also heard Oprah is on her way to do a special on all those cheating refs that has taken games away from you guys this year. Lol. Good luck in the state tourney clay.

This game will definitely be a battle of teams from the farthest end of the socioeconomic spectrum - modern day David vs Goliath. I'm sure the kids at Covington Catholic can not fathom the world of poverty the Clay Kids live in being from the wealthiest area of the state.
No...Clay most likely won't have many kids in our pep section compared to Covington Catholic; because our families simply can not afford to send their children to a game anywhere much less Lexington.
However I wouldn't be surprised if the Mountain Kids are a little harder to take down than most are anticipating.

I want to start by saying im never for clay but once they make it to rupp im for any team that comes out of the 13th region that being said if they win agianst cc it will be a upset to go down in the history books.I cant belive that any clay fan would complain about refs how many games has clay county lost at home in the last twenty five years.

I also think CC has a few mismatches on the offensive end. With that being said I'm going with CC by 5. Close all the way. I was trash talking in my earlier post but I truly believe CC gets the win. :truestory:
While I love the tigers and their fans getting on here speaking the truth (most of the time) just know for sure that clay had problems getting tape and just got some late Thursday evening. Espn says Come on Man

Ur right Cov Cath. is so good they black out their games. Only info on them is about their fans. I know nothing about the PG going out west next year. I am a CC fan not anyone associated with the team, I don't know what tapes or when the team watched but I do know if u guys aren't careful ur first trip since 06 could be a short one.

It ant that hard to get tapes, I made one phone call and got tapes of Holmes and simon Kenton games emailed to me. Plus they put there crap allover YouTube. Hope Clay brings there A game and send these rich preppy kids home with their tail tucked tween the legs.

I don't hardly think that Farmer and McDaniel fit the poor ole eastern Kentucky kid profile.

I love how you guys try to drag down the play of the kids with "gloom, despair and agony on me" routine.

I don't buy for a second that clay county had a hard time getting game tape on cov Cath. All anyone has to do is google ihigh Covington catholic. There are 6 or 8 full games on the internet.

I'm not saying that they do, but I know for a fact the attitude of most kids at cov-cath , I've covered that area for the last 20 years for my profession. They are much different than kid raised in east ky. Now. Coal keeps the lights on ,and the tigers are gonna shock the world.:moon:

There's a HUGE difference in upper middle class eastern Kentucky vs northern Kentucky. McDaniel rocks flannels every now and then and Trey looks like he's on the next casting of Duck Dynasty. Not saying all the kids are bad from that area at all but just there demeanor on social media (yes, I went there) is very cocky. I hope this is a great game and don't want to get too far into the socioeconomic conversation but like someone said above, if there is one this is the biggest gap in the entire tournament.

Every time someone from up here plays a mountain team, we get this socio-economic stuff from the vocal minority. Not all of NKY is Triple Crown.

Clay has a chance....they need to stay outta foul trouble especially smith who will be guarding Cov Cathlotic's PG I assume b/c of his size and length. you never know what will happen at the sweet 16......I've seen alot threw the years and nothing would surprize me seeing clay advance to the quarter finals........

This is a marvelous post. Next, we will hear that the Clay County students are selling their food stamps to raise money for gas to fill up the old Ford Pinto for the trip to Lexington. Shoot. Keep the food stamps and use some of the disability (back injuries, of course) money.
Seriously, CovCath should win handily. However, if they don't, I'll root for Clay County to play Louisville Trinity in the finals. If that happens, obviously I must revert to socioeconomic considerations and root for the Shamrocks. Oldtiger would expect no less from an uppity northerner.

I am no Covington cath fan or any fan of any team in nky, but give the devil his due they are good. I saw cordia play Newport cath twice and Holmes and this team beat both of them. Those two teams were really good. If the cov cath fan base is any more rude and arrogant than new cath it is bad. Their fans were chanting at the cordia fans during the all a championship all game stuff like go home hillbillies and a lot of racial stuff. St Marys fans were bad too there was a fan came up to rod Rhodes after the game and cussed him out and tried to fight him before some people threw him out of the gym. From what I have seen the mentality of all of these catholic schools are about the same. New cath even had a priest sitting on the bench when all of this ulgy stuff was coming from their student section and he just looked at them and smiled. I would imagine cov cath will be about the same get ready.

I'm not into anything other than the game and I still think CC has the talent to win. Cov. Caths student section may be a treat to watch but when CC is clicking as a team they r the real treat. :drooling:
