John Hunt,assistant will get the position. His best friend is Troy Barr, Troy Barr is the athletic director. This isn't an unexpected move, it was thought to happen right at the start of school next year, Barr was going to resign so that Hunt would be natural to take over, the timing is earlier however.

The only outside candidate that I can see applying that would possibly have a shot at it is Jason Booher if he wants to get back close home to Radcliff, but I don't see him leaving Holmes this year.

I am sure it is the assistant AAU coach of M.A.T.T mustangs, he has a son that will be a freshman next year @ Casey County. Talk about a politics at its best. Father Son combo, I am sure the fans will love watching a one man show?? Not to mention another losing season without Coach Burkett. Administration in Casey don't deserve Coach Burkett.

Ridiculous situation. No way Coach Burkett should have been let go. He inherited a 6 win team that lost 5 seniors, won 4 games but made the region in his first season, then improved to 14-17 in year two. When you are a program as bad as Casey County you don't get rid of someone like that. Small town politics at its finest.

If it is the point guard I seen play for MATT mustangs in Louisville, he is a step slow, shots to much, and bails out under pressure. If he is not from Casey I apologize, that was what I was told by a parent when inquiring about the team.
