@ Corbin

Refs make sure it is good close game and gives Corbin a chance to win in the end. Hard to beat 2 opponets on same field.

I personally am sick and tired of hearing about Corbin always has the officials in their back pocket. Did you ever think that they are just that much better at home? Did you ever think that the officials just missed a call here or there. I don't think it is odd at all that Corbin seems to get the same officials time after time, year after year. It is just the luck of the draw. Surely nobody would ever say that an assigning secretary would make decisions based on his love the the Redhounds. I have never questioned the fact that certain officials have their children enrolled at CHS and then talk to other officials about what games that they may or may not get to call. I say, not in Corbin anyway, maybe in other places but Corbin would never do anyting questionable to win a game.

Seriously, could anyone be that corrupt?:why:

Funny stuff. I had a conversation with a guy who graduated from Whitley, but whose child now plays sports at Corbin and he said that he always believed Corbin got the calls from the officials, until he started attending his kid's games and he said now has a different perspective and may have been wrong all those years. Officials are not perfect, but 98% of them try to be fair.

I also notice that teams such as Bell Co. rarely gripe or worry about the officials. Makes you wonder doesn't it.

Seriously I am not griping, I get really tired of all this stuff. Just line up and play the game. You just hear all kinds of stuff, and I agree that 98% do try to do their best, but not just speaking of Corbin here, but it is the 2% that tends to give a bad name to the other 98%.

ER day for the Hounds! Bell by as many as they want!!!!!

That or they're just a little leery due to the fact that last time Bell Co.played on this field the official used a racial slur to one of bobcat players and about started a riot that was plastered all over the news. That might be what some of the complain is about. :pondering:

Why would one tell a bold faced lie like this?

Are you talking about the middle school game where the Bell Co. kid who was not playing in this game kept berating the official until he told him to leave the sideline? Then an adult on the Bell Co. sideline sucker punched the ref and was promptly arrested.

The last high school game played between these two at Campbell Field ended with a last minute game winning FG by Bell Co. This was 4-5 years ago.

Yea that was a awsome game and a great feeling to end the game the way we did!

Bell wins by at least 2 TD's
#82
Bell will win this one, their defense is to good. Bobcats 26-7.

I think Corbin will keep it close, but will run out of gas in the second half:

Bell County - 29

Corbin - 12

I think that Corbin has the talent to hang with Bell and possibly pull the upset. However, I don't know if they have the self discipline to do so. I'm not saying they are poorly coached or bad kids. The discipline that I'm referring to is simply mental errors in the game. These are by no means dumb kids or anything of that nature. They just seem to use shoot themselves in the foot a lot this year. I've seen too many times this year a Corbin player break a big play only for it to be called back for a hold or block in the back 20 yards behind the play.

Simple errors such as those mentioned could be the difference in Corbin being 3-4, 5-2, or even 6-1. Honestly, they're not all that far from being 7-0. The LCA, Danville, and Tates Creek losses were all by 7 points. The Wayne County loss was by 3. 24 points has made the difference in Corbin being viewed as having a down year or likely being ranked 3 or 4 in Kentucky.

If the Hounds just clean it up, they could end the season with a bang. The future certainly looks bright in Corbin. I just hope they can finish strong and prepare themselves for what could be a year they make a run for #6 in 2013.

I agree with a lot of that statement, but I heard at the barber shop this morning that the freshmen got beat yesterday just down the road, in fact they got shut out. OUCH!! So that future may be bright but you ain't gonna need shades:biggrin:

Freshman class may be down but a down class is to be expected with any school. Freshmen and JV ball are completely different than big boy ball. You have other classes to lean on and what not.

not trying to rub it in we don't do that but that's what happens when you make a statement like that giving up 34 points doesn't sound like a field day
