If you understand the gibberish above, is it too far a stretch to think if the Board Memeber was from Paintsville the 57th would be a four team district and the other districts would adjust regardless of how much sense or inconvience it made? This just did not happen, it was planned this way to favor the Pike Co teams. I call that clear, plain and simple.

Which isn't fair. And as you have stated..It's blantanly unfair to the rest of the Region.

BUT, for your "nuff said" and "Win and you get in the tourney." This isn't true...Pikeville and Pike County Central got into the Tourney and they didn't have to win a game in their District Tourneys. They did, but didn't have to.
So re-read the thread and comprehend what is being said. And THEN give us a more intelligent answer. Cause this is a good debate.

See...I am NOT complaining about us not making it to the Region. Like I said, "we had our chance". What I am debating about is the unfairness of the way the Region is set up. And I am NOT the only one who feels this way.

You tell me...How fair are two three team Districts in the SAME county where 4 of the 6 make it to the Region and you have a 5 team District made up of FOUR counties and only TWO make it? And to beat all the Tourney is held in the same county as half the bracket.

Look Sonny....Just to prove you wrong AGAIN! My team got beat out on 2-24-11. Here is a thread that I STARTED back on 2-09-11 over 2 weeks prior and we were tied for the 1 seed at this time. Just go look at how many people do agree. I don't expect you to agree.

As a neutral fan, I enjoy watching games at the Expo. As a former player in the 15th region, I loved playing in the high schools. The atmosphere is unbeatable for the athletes. (just my opinion) I will say that as a fan, playing in the small gyms (Paintsville) was awesome but as a spectator, it wasn't that fun having to get there so early and not enough seating for everyone and not having the chairs with the backs on them like at the Expo.

As far as the 3 team districts. The 57th was a 3 team girls district for about 20 years or so. They did a round robin tourney without seeding. The two powerhouses (Johnson Central and Sheldon Clark) of that time made it to the region every single year.

There is no KHSAA board of control member from Pike County. Marvin Moore, Superintendent of the Rowan County Schools is the rep for the 15th and 16th region. Paul Dotson used to be the rep for the 15th and 16th approximately five years ago.

Why can't we just realize that for as long as there has been a right and a wrong people have indeed been wronged? Every school, team, or person can say that something hasn't been fair for them.

Just let it be. A bunch of bicker will not result in anything, just more bicker
