You are absolutely correct regarding the Cards not playing well; I don't know anything about the Breathitt game last week.

But SC played a far superior team; they were awsome!

Yes, SC could have done somewhat better, but IMHO the would have come out on the short end 19 out of 20 times against the Collins team that was on the field this past Saturday night. So, SC, keep your heads up and do what you need to do this week to get ready for Breathitt.

I saw a few good things SC did against Collins. They scored 2 TDs' and 2 2 point conversions against Collins' varsity (first team). And at times, they ran the ball well.

August 27 is an opportunity to show people that the Cards can bounce back. We shall see come friday night!

SC did in fact run the ball well in spurts. My question, though, is why not to the outside occasionally? With the speed SC has, it appears to me that the outside would be another tactic to employ. Just MHO!

If Breathitt plays like they did in week 1 against Campbellsville, they will get beaten. If they improve, they win.

Let's hope that SC decides to occasionally run outside to the long side of the field. Maybe good things will happen! We shall see.

if SC dont win by 3 td's or more than there not as good as what everybody has put them off to be.. the Bobcats prolly have one of the worst teams they have had in years.. SC should roll in this big if they live up to there hype. so im taking a chance and saying they win 48-26...

Breathitt has a very sour taste in their mouth from last years game against sc and would love nothing more than to get revenge this year. Breathitt did look very sloppy last week, but I think they will have everything lined out come friday. I'll take Breathitt in this one.

sc by 2 tds or better
#43
SC by 2 tds or better if Breathitt doesn't have a better center than the one that was on the field on saturday night! if they do have a better one then they win!

This is to all of our fans and supporters of SCHS football. I am truly and deeply sorry for the play against Collins. We came into the game non existence of what was going on, we got smashed in the mouth and wasn't the SCHS football team we had been in the years past. I want to express you will never see another SCHS football game like the one against Collins as long as I am a senior at this high school. We will practice hard and stay focused and will continue to get better week in and out. I am for sure not just talking for me but for every member that puts on the Cards jersey. Stay proud.
Thank you

Both teams seem to have many areas that they need to improve on. It is early and both teams will be better in November.

I don't think that this is a strong year for either one of these teams right at this moment, but with young teams comes mistakes early in the season but with young teams they most of the time improve as the season goes. I look for this be a pretty good game and neither team show much of nothing last week, so its hard to pick this game but I think that the bobcats will pick up a notch and win this one by 13.GO BOBCATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This could be one of the better games this IMO. Cards in a tough battle.

You guys played an extremely good team, maybe 6A calibar? They were strong, big, very athletic, and well coached. But SC did look like they came out flat, and did not get in sync.

Breathitt this Friday night, August 27, is a new beginning, so play your best. Good luck!

Does anyone know the status of Tyler O'Connor? I heard that he had an MRI yesterday.

It's so unfortunate that young men have to suffer these football injuries; it is very disappointing to them.

Best of luck to Tyler O'Connor; you are in our thought and prayers. Hope to see you back soon.

Sheldon Clark in, IMO, a surprisingly easy win. A week 1 loss to a better team can sometimes be more beneficial than a close win over an inferior team.

SC gets it going this week...

Good luck to both teams, and here's hoping for an injury free game.

Sheldon Clark.....and it won't be close.
#57
I sat SC because they played a tougher team last week. BC may have just learned alot of bad habits from the Cville game

Breathitt played a bad game. But Campbellsville is better than many thought, including me. They have no depth, but their starters are just as good as many teams, especially in 3A. The one thing that stood out to me other than the lack of speed from Breathitt, was the conservative play-calling. I saw many holes in the Bobcats and I hope that they can fix some of them in a week. From what I saw, SC has holes also, so it may be a good game between two teams trying to prove themselves after a rocky week 1.
