I saw a bunch of them at the Mount Sterling downtown gym during the week running and so it wasn't like they wasn't in shape.
SO I guess while the were at the gym in Mount Sterling, they were going over the gameplan for Saturday night and watching film and going over blocking schemes and preparing their offense and defense. Honestly, running around in a gym or lifting weights does not prepare a team (or in this case, probably just a small group of the players) for a game.

If Magoffin had several players sick, why didn't they just make Powell forfeit the game on Friday night? Since it was Powell that requested the game be moved to Saturday night due to them being out of school all week and no after school activities.

Whatever, you know as well as I do that they practiced somewhere, if it was in a cow pasture, they probable played against the black angus cows in your field.

You Sir, are shallow and pedantic. I know for a fact that they did NOT have an actual practice until Friday. Whether the players got together and ran or lifted weights was totally up to them. Coach Burchett does NOT break the rules. He is one of the classiest coaches in the state. Ask any of his past players and students.

Hurray for Coach Burchett. Not surprising he ran belly the whole game. If it works, why stop?

Okay, everyone just drop it! The bottom line is Magoffin County did not come out ready to play, and Powell County did. Magoffin probably came into the game with a big head, expecting a easy victory and just got showed up. I look forward to seeing how the rest of the district games are played out as Powell is taking on Breathitt, and Estill is coming to Magoffin. I wish the best of luck to all teams.

We really helped him though. We were in Man to Man most of the night. I love my boys but we are not a Man to Man D. When we went to cover 4 half way thru the 4th...He had next to zero passing yds. I will give him this though..He can through the ball very well. 2 times we had great coverage that his WRs just took the ball away from us for 2 of the TDs. It will be a game that will not soon be forgotten.

The Helton kid only had 37 rushing yards?? Thought he was one of the top rushers in the state, was it an off game, any details?
