^ Honestly, the only teams that can match-up physically and athleticaly are Holmes and Bryan Station. J-Town could give them a game, and if Elliott is hitting, they could. But IMO, it's a two team race between Scott Co & Holmes at this stage.

Scott County is much like the Yankees. They have the most talented team, but year in and year out they always fail to win the world series, meaning that too much talent on a team can cause problems which I think that it has so far in the loss to Holmes.

I don't think I agree with your logic on this one. Scott Co has won more and accomplished more than any other school in Kentucky since 1998 (more Sweet 16 wins, two state titles, 5 final fours, probably the most wins overall), usually while playing the state's toughest schedule.

As far as Scott County's slower that expected start, it all goes back to defense. SC plays a very complicated man to man defense. No other team in the state plays this particular defense. You don't learn it overnight. Euton and Jackson, while giving great effort, have never been asked to play anything close to this type of defense before. When they learn the system SC will be hard to handle.
