Why don't you just hush it up about Magoffin County coaches and the athletics. Please take this guy off the site....They have been on here for the past couple of years..... Tongue

I don't understand why you are against magoffin sports so much. Those kids on those teams work hard and deserve yours as well as every person in Magoffin Co. respect. If your not a hornet fan stay off here, stay away from the games, and just go on with your life.

Magoffin County sports is not that bad IMO. They always have very competitive basketball programs, both in boys and girls. As for football, hey they do alright compared with some other counties that don't really emphasize football. I have always thought of Magoffin County as a basketball school and that does seem to be their best sport. As for coaches, I'm don't know much about their current coaches, but they have had some good ones in the past. So lighten up.

Wow people really went off topic. I mean Magoffin is having a down year...Who doesn't? I mean Magoffin went 15-15 last year and played every game close and those guys had been getting tons of playing time since they had been freshman so what do you expect losing 4 of your players and your 3 top scorers. I mean this team(Holmes) did make the state tournament a few years ago so some people need to lighten up. And the whole thing about other sports Magoffin hasn't been that bad. In 05 the Football team was one game away from making the playoffs and this year the team was really young. The basketball team is just in a rebuilding process. Yes this was an embarrassing loss but its hard for a mediocre eastern KY team to go and compete with the athletic teams when they are use to playing in the 15th region. Magoffin is not that bad got look they have played several teams witihin 5 points or less.

All he would do would be to down the kids.

He's just bitter because he sucked at sports; couldnt play any of them and likes to down the kids for their efforts.

I wonder if he is still unemployed and living at home off his mother? Maybe thats why he is so disgruntled. I would be too; if I were a 23, 24, 25 year old male (notice I didn't say man) still living with mommy.:dontthink

I believe the Magoffin '05 Football year was whenever Gerald Howard coached football, and Magoffin only won 1 game that year against Betsy Layne. (Yea sorry off topic.)
