Idk if Greenup has scored 28 points on Raceland in the last three years combined. Greenup will do get to score 14. One by their varsity and another after the game is out of hand
Greenup also lost Brady Howard for the season with an injury and he was their leading receiver and second leading scorer.  That is a huge hole to fill. And takes away any advantage that Greenup may have had with us.
Blaze I love the fact that you are trying to be respectful all the time but damnit man …..this is Greenup. They have no advantage on us!!! Our water boys are better than their players! I’m currently talking to Mike to see if he will keep the varsity back in Raceland and let the jv have this game. Talk a little trash …..it’s fun hahah
Lol I can’t help it.  As a player I was coached to always respect your opponent and that you can always be beaten by a lesser team if you show up thinking you’ve won before the first snap was taken.  In this case Raceland should beat Greenup by 3 scores or more but it is still good practice to respect the fact that they are a 1 loss team and aren’t bad.

Geez ? fine I’ll do it for you! Greenup is bad ….they’ve played worse competition than us! We will beat the green poop stain out of them. The hardest hits you’ll see from Greenup will be from the grandparents in the stands beating on Raceland fans when the clock starts rolling. This game will be epic for the fans ….people are gonna go to jail hahah

Extra points 3 for 5?  I guess that's about the % for the year...20 for 29.  That's not good.  Why didn't Raceland's recruiting staff add Totten from Russell?  Of course, I guess he's technically from Boyd County, but what's the difference?

In all reality, Raceland's poor kicking game could cost them at some point.  However, it doesn't look like Pikeville or Hazard are a whole lot better so it may not matter in 1A this year.

I still say Tyson Sammons from Greenup will be the best football player on the field Friday. Problem is he has to lead his team in passing, rushing, and tackling. Raceland has 3 separate guys from Russell, Ashland, and Symmes Valley to take care of that for them.

If it makes you feel any better I think the Rams will win by 4+ scores.  The seating situation is ridiculous too and this should have been figured out in the spring or summer.

3 guys ?? That’s all?? All this crying over three kids? Damn…..I thought with all the crying Raceland would have about 18 transfers like Fairview did back in the day. Or even 12 like Pikeville had last year. Or even 15 like Taintsville did when they won their ring. All this crying over three kids? Damnnnnnn

As far as Sammons goes ….he won’t even be noticed

For the record, I’m all for Raceland or any other school accumulating as many players as possible in an effort to make a run at a state title.

However, you seemed to want someone on here to play the “devil’s advocate”, so I figured I would throw a few jabs…how many of Raceland’s top 11 tacklers on their defense live in the Raceland school district? My bet is if Raceland just consisted of Poplar Highlands and Old Farm boys, it would be a good game between them and the current version of Fairview.

Well stay on topic ….you say transfers and then you wanna talk about kids that live in the district. We can spin it how you like …I think it’s save to say that 98% of Racelands football team has always been at Raceland. I went to Raceland and I moved out of the district my sophomore year. My kids go they and they’ve never lived in the district. It’s funny to me that this only gets brought up when it pertains to sports. Why don’t people attack the students walking the hallways at Raceland that don’t play sports and live out of the district? This is an old old argument and it all comes down to one thing. When you can’t beat someone on the field or in the classroom or at your job people start looking at other reason then they simply aren’t good enough. The same kids play basketball at Raceland and nobody has an issue there ….why? Cause everyone beats Raceland at basketball. It’s juvenile and funny to me to watch grown adults cry about the same ol crap haha

I’m a true blood Ram and was in the district K-12.  I also lived in district when I grew up.  That being said, I have not lived in the Raceland school district for close to 20 years and will likely never live there again.  Assuming we are still in the tristate by the time my daughter reaches school age she would be an out of district student.  I love the small town that I grew up in but it is just that, a small town that has no real growth outside of the school being there.  I can see why people would want to send their kids to Raceland without actually living there because the town itself is pretty dull.

Thats a fair point Blaze. Like i have said many times...dont want your kid to transfer? Make it hard to leave. Not by stupid rules, laws, or whatever...make it so they DONT WANT TO LEAVE. That being said, i made the transfer and hold back argument to try and stir the pot of greenups following on here. But much like the visitors bleachers at their stadium, they are nowhere to be found.

My game within the game prediction...

Greenup is held to less than 100 yards rushing...

Game Day!

I love the atmosphere at Greenup and I believe this season is an inflection point in the program's history. I believe they're headed in the right direction...but...I'm loving the Rams this year. Raceland is for real and with Greenup losing one of their best players I can't see a scenario where Greenup pulls the upset. Raceland comfortably....

I don’t seem so crazy now about calling for an upset in this game.  Raceland very well could lose this game if they don’t get it together in the 2nd half.

Raceland just played the worst half of football all year. You guys like Mikes defense?? Try to make every tackle behind the line of scrimmage. All you gotta do if you’re Greenups running backs is stay on your feet. The Rams defense will run right past you then you can run downfield all night.

Pikeville is beating the breaks off of LCA right now and they are clearly miles ahead of us.

Unless Greenup is the next big thing...We dont look like we can play within 4 scores of Pikeville. Very sloppy tonight and will be lucky to make it out with a win. Still a ways to go..

I’ve said that from the start of the season. You can’t make up 36 points in one season
