RACELAND @ GREENUP CO. 9-23-22
#1
Both teams are 4-1 heading into this game. Greenup's only loss was to Boyd Co. (29-21) & Raceland's lone loss was to Fort Thomas Highlands (24-14).

Thoughts?

Everyone needs to get to Musketeers Stadium Friday night to watch yet another stop on Racelands final tour of local teams. The Rams will be playing all your favorite tunes this Friday. They may be oldies but they are goldies for sure. Tunes like …..screen to the left for a untouched 60 yard touchdown and run to the right for a huge gain! One of the fan’s favorites like qb run for a first down and fake hard count! I personally hope to see my all time favorite…..we are up big but here’s a trick play for the hell of it. Now as you Ram fans know Greenup will be playing their favorite carnival games this Friday so make sure you keep the young Rams on their side of the field. Greenup will be doing their mutton busting and shank a lamb under the bleachers as usual so make sure you stay clear. There will places to place bets in tents around the concession stand. You can bet on a variety of things. Like …..how many total flags thrown, will a ref tear his rotator cuff, how many unsportsmanlike penalties and how many kids will be kicked out of the game. You can even place a bet on the marge of victory and ….what will be the the running total points after this game against local competition by the Rams. Has of now it’s Raceland 194 local competition ….31! Be sure to stick around after the game cause I hear that Greenup’s Superintendent will join the Rams on the field after the game to sing her hit single cheater cheater pumpkin eater! She teased us earlier in the year on Twitter with this song but decided to remove it unfortunately. I can’t wait to hear it for myself though. Idk bout you all

I think the Rams are ripe for an upset this week. With this being the last time this game will be played for a while Greenup is going to bring their A game to end the long streak of Ram wins. Add to that the hatred of the the rest of the area towards Raceland and the stage is set for the Rams to lose if they come in unfocused. I think the Rams should win but it will be in a close game.

Raceland 28
Greenup 14

When did Greenup announce the series is ending?

University of Raceland by eleventy billion!

I’m curious to how Greenup best Lawrence County? Then they lose to Boyd a week later..

Scoreboard watching is a complete waste of time this year. Raceland hasnt had much issues vs the run. Havent had many issues vs the pass. Only issues have been vs teams that match us atheletically. GC doesnt have that. GC does however have a solid run game. So i think they try and control tempo and keep it close for a half.

Rams 35
GC 14

I could see Greenup hanging around for a bit much like Russell did until their "end zone interception heard around the county" that essentially ended the Russell series with Raceland as the Rams went on the destroy them after that interception.
#9
Raceland Rolls!
#10
Raceland big and there is no match up here I can see that favors Greenup County
#11
This will be the first game the Rams play on grass this year….that’s strange to me hahah
#12
Rams will leave the Mouseketeers with a parting gift when they leave lloyd.

You’ve beaten a horrible paintsville and a bad Belfrey team. You should probably close that cut under your nose. I almost forgot about the bad LCA team rolling into town.

Please watch the running clock in 3rd quarter game from semis last year. I hope you never get any smarter and I think that’s a good bet. Congrats on the big win over WC and hopefully you can have success vs Greenup

Has Greenup fixed their visitor side seating yet?
#20
There may be a concrete pad for people to stand on. But i heard it wouldnt have bleachers until november.
#21
This should be fun. You know Raceland fans will go to the home bleachers and sit. There better be lots of cops down there cause some people will be going to jail Friday night hahah

That is really unacceptable.  If they are unable to accommodate a visiting team with basic seating then they shouldn’t be allowed to have home games until they can.  The State needs to have facility standards that all schools have to adhere to in order to host games.

This would be more entertaining than the game.  Too bad I don't live closer, it would be fun to watch.

I’ll keep you updated on the situation. Hell I might start a thread Friday night just for the shenanigans in the stands haha

Idk if Greenup has scored 28 points on Raceland in the last three years combined. Greenup will do get to score 14. One by their varsity and another after the game is out of hand

Greenup also lost Brady Howard for the season with an injury and he was their leading receiver and second leading scorer.  That is a huge hole to fill. And takes away any advantage that Greenup may have had with us.

This one needs a fan cam Durocher game so we all can watch! Lol.

That's a devastating loss for Greenup.  He was one of their players who really stood out.  More than just this game which you can pretty much write off anyway, that loss will hurt them in district play.

Blaze I love the fact that you are trying to be respectful all the time but damnit man …..this is Greenup. They have no advantage on us!!! Our water boys are better than their players! I’m currently talking to Mike to see if he will keep the varsity back in Raceland and let the jv have this game. Talk a little trash …..it’s fun hahah
