Mitchell Berger is the best player in NKY.  Running back, Linebacker, Kicker, etc..... Whether that holds any water with voters, not sure.  I would take him over any other player in the state no matter what position.  Kid does it all and is really good at everything he does.

Combs is that same type player. He can do it all, and has a great attitude to go with it.

44 yards and 9 points per game is not going to make any player a Mr. Football candidate. Those are not exactly eye popping stats on a team bound for an early playoff exit. I am sure that Kam Wilson is a good player but Mr. Football will have much better stats.

You're right on that, but I think a true Mr. Football does many things that doesn't even show in stats.

He's a good one for sure.

I wanted to recruit him, but He's a senior. lol

Go look at the stats for #21 at Whitley County in the past few games. He might get my vote in the future. lol

You're right.  IntangiBALL.

You're right.  IntangiBALL. All the great ones bring that certain something that doesn't always show up in a stat line.

A Mr. Football candidate, without stats to make his case is not going to be a candidate, regardless of the intangibles.

Grant Bingham probably boosted Johnson Central's average gain per play by a couple of yards per play last season, but there is no official stat for pancake blocks ahead of a running back.

I think your leaders right now would be Ty Bryant, Kenyon Goodin, and Jacob Jones. If Mitchell Berger hadn't gotten injured I believe he was the heavy favorite.

Travis Egan for Bullitt East has done it all. Thrown for 23 and ran for another 11. Averages 7.1 yards a carry. Against Graves County he was 15/22 for 201 and a TD and ran 12 times for 205 and 4 TD's. Graves not a juggernaut I know. Against MALE he threw for 210 and ran for 110 and 2 TD's.

Since a first game loss, He has led the Chargers to nine straight victories throwing 22 TD and 1 int. He has also rushed 70 times for 501 yards and 11 TD's.

Sadly Mitchell is out for the season.

Sadly Mitchell is out for the season.

He might have have won it if he didn’t get hurt.

Here’s to hoping that Crone makes his point Friday on a stingy Trinity D
