BCs advantage is team speed.
It's not a knock on JC to say the Rebels have more team speed and athletes. It's true.
I was actually referring to Louisville Central about team speed but I do agree. JC's plan will be to have long sustained drivers that keeps Boyle's offense on the sideline. That wouldn't be a game JC could afford to get down 2 scores early and come back in my opinion. This matchup reminds me somewhat of those JC/Highlands games back in 2008 and 2010 when Highlands had Patrick Towles and was arguably the best team in the state. JC lost both years 35-21 and 21-14. Hopefully if this game happens it's at Kroger field.

Sorry for the confusion, reading comprehension isn't my strongpoint.

Fulton County Pilots would be a great Cinderella story. Think about it they start the playoffs by winning against their district opponents in which the first matchups were very winnable games. Then in the third round the travel to Northern Kentucky to defeat KCD/NCC. Next, they take the longest travel game in KHSAA history from Hickman to Pikeville and beat the favorites in a stand alone Saturday playoff game, due to the travel time. Finally, they arrive a Kroger Field and defeat a Paintsville team for their First State Championship. Would be a great underdog story!

Maybe, but I would make the case probably not simply because they were one game away from a district championship last year, they lost to their district champion this year by 3 in the regular season, and I just don't see them going further than the third round on their best day. Even if they make the third round with the intra district format now I wouldn't consider them a Cinderella story.

Just going on the what I've seen with my own eyes against those Belfry teams and against Corbin. Offense has always been a problem for them but their defense is elite. Just dont think Boyle would be able to out-athlete them like they have most teams.
I will say that last year, centrals and Boyleâs overall speed, was about the same, or not enough to be seen. But, that team speed wouldnât have done them much good I donât think, because in my opinion Boyle would have beat them last year. They just had a better team.
This year however, I donât know. I know central lost a lot last year to graduation. But once again, Iâd say it wouldnât matter about the speed thing, because Boyle would beat them this year too.

Central lives below the radar, we all know how good they were in 3A but there were years they came into the playoffs with 4 or 5 losses only to storm their way to the finals and win most of the time. (2007W, 2009W, 2010W, 2016L). I know that was all under Scroggins and the Dantzler years have been about good records but there is something in the water at that school that when it comes playoff time all bets are off.

Franklin Co will test them and can beat them. I'm anxious to see what happens tonight.

Trust me, after seeing them in person... it will not be KCD. Do not let their record and schedule fool you. They have a big line and limited number of athletes. If they get down by multiple scores, they are in trouble because they only passed the ball maybe three times against Berea and the game was really close still at half time. I will not disagree on Raceland, or any team from the east that could possibly upset Pikeville. As for Danville, whomever comes out of their district I believe plays for a state title against Mayfield unless RPI matches them up sooner. Mercer to me, is not an under dog. When they beat CAL, that was a coming out party. And never count Central out, I agree.
