15th Region way down
#31
Lawrence Better get some more kids from West Virgina to play next year .
#32
Not sure where all this butt hurt is coming from because LC has had a good year so far. A good group of kids having a good senior year and all you sad jackasses can do is run them down and talk about how bad it is gonna be next year. I know how much it must absolutely sicken you clowns to see LC have a good year in any kind of sport and hopefully the Dawgs can hang around and make some noise and prolong your agony just a little bit longer. Some sad human beings on here.

You got a great group of kids ,but your best two basketball players came from West Virginia . They have had a great season .
#34
Yeah and if you dig back just a tad bit further you will find out that all of us eventually came from somewhere else to this country. I guess that makes everyone a (gasp) TRANSFER. smh

I'm sure they will.

My son will probably play sports for LC in a few years and he was born at a hospital in Ashland. Would he also be considered a transfer? or does it depend on how good he is? lmao

I'm sure they are like every other school in eastern KY with kids that come from other counties or states to just play some sport not be there for academics as soon as the KHSAA gets ahold of this situation a lot of so called coaches will be out of work....

I am wondering if you even realize they came to LC in middle school and has been at the high school since. What exactly is there to "get ahold of"?

The 15th Region as a whole is way down this year. I for one am glad LC has the team they do this year. They have had a great season thus far, and will represent the 15th Region well in the Sweet Sixteen.

Not to mention they are a fun team to watch play.

The big reason I think it is down and why I hate being down is because we cant go into other regions and play. If we do we have to play their worst teams. And it may just be me or the 59th which I have followed the, don't know, I haven't fact checked it but seems like this year the majority of teams just stayed in our region and played the same games over and over. I know you have to play 2 district games for each opponent and the All A but after that spread out. If you are not in their district no need to schedule teams 2 and 3 times, especially if you have a chance of meeting in the All A or another local tournament, unless you are trying to take a crack at a regional favorite often and early. We still have pretty good district rivalries, and a couple good regional rivalries, I would like to develop some cross regional rivalries. But this scheduling of 7-10 wins fear of hurting your resume and keeping it all right here will keep making our region weaker. I want to get back to trading blows with Knott and Perry and Hazard and Letcher C.

Pikeville was on a different level than the other 3??? You sure you was alive then?? Pikeville was the favorite but barely. Allen Central was good, Feds Creek was rolling with Jody and that young Belfry team was just hitting their stride. I never seen Pikeville being able to beat Feds Creek and then Belfry if they would have even avoided the early upset.

Bigbluefanatic Wrote:Well region I was playing at that time in the 90's and I was involved in some of the games and yes this region was dominated by one team every year in the early to mid 90's Pikeville in 1990, Belfry for the next 3 years then throw in the year Allen Central who had Jeremy Hall went to state pretty much those teams had no equal and no competition in the 15th during those teams runs....

Pikeville's run??? They never won a regional title. '87 Paintsville, '88 Phelps, '89 Prestonsburg, '90-'92 Belfry, '93 Elkhorn, '94 Allen Central. Where was Pikeville's run?? If you played during those years you might want to check your memory.

1990 Pikeville was in the spot Lawrence Co is now, they had beaten 3 Lexington schools in 3 days and all 3 ranked in the top 20, so when regionals started they were the odds on favorite and if I'm not mistaken they played AC, FC and Belfry and beat them by 20+...

Sad that people must say things about the region this year when a very good team like LC is the clear favorite. Sure, the region isn't great. But to say it's "down" is a bit overstating right now. Magoffin and LC and JC are all good, with LC being a notch ahead. Are those teams "great"? No. But just because Shelby Valley or JC isn't "dominant" doesn't mean it's down.

Also about these transfer posts. The Dalton kids have been in LC since 8th grade. They LIVE in Louisa. Claim "transfer" or "recruiting" all you want, fact is that these kids have all came to LC and moved here. That's legit. How about some of these other schools in Pike County who transfer and NEVER move? Like when the Daniel kid from Paintsville transferred to Pikeville for football, eventually transferring back. I don't recall "recruiting" threads about that?

Regardless, the pressure being put on these KIDS from Lawrence is enormous. Not only the pressure of being the "best" by all those in the region, but the hometown fans are pretty much saying "Rupp or bust". I hate that for these kids. If they get upset in the regional tournament, the city might burn down from outrage. It's been a wonderful year, and great 4 years for these seniors, but they will only be remembered for the next week in their sporting careers and that's not right. Upsets happen everywhere, and although I believe LC will win the region, I could see where JC or Magoffin, and possibly Pikeville, could upset them. If LC draws JC/MC in the 1st round, that could be enough to tighten up the boys and not play well.

It reminds me of 1990 when Pikeville was this with some 2 or 3 team a notch below them and Pikeville got sent home in the 1st rd...

A very good Ft Gay all star team

20+??? Yep you're mistaken. You'd think coming from someone that acts like he was part of that great '90 Pikeville team that he'd know the scores.

Lawrence is a great team , but with the Dalton boys made them a really good team . If they stay in West Virgina your team is not as good . And they never played middle school ball . They where great pickups don't act like they was from Lawrence .

Not true at all. I have pictures of both Dalton boys playing for Tolsia in middle school. Kids playing against them in a tournament. No need to lie about it. Just win or shut up. Because if you don't, you're going down as the best that never could..

Don't you mean Lawrence and Johnson Central are the top two teams this year?I think JC proved the other night they are better than Magoffin. And Lawrence is really good this year. Not so much the rest of the region.

Fighter09 your team didn't make it to the regional tournament . Do be quiet . lol

This was a game that could have went either way, 1 point game with a min to go. Don't run your mouth about things you didn't see, just because Morgan co is out first round.

And I've got proof that Timmy Dalton was an 8th grader when enrolling. Robert was a 9th grader. They enrolled day #1 of the oldest's high school career. Sorry guys, but you are beating a dead horse. They transferred LEGALLY, MOVED LEGALLY, and did so by the rules. I can't say that for the rest of the teams, but I guess you all are focused on LC and their transfers because they are better than yours....Confusednicker:

I hope that you are a teenager. Because if not, you are a sad, sad individual. These KIDS do not need the pressure of "win or you are a never could". Pathetic....

They should have been playing Middle school Robert would have been in the 8th and Timmy in the 7th, so I don't see them playing varsity high school basketball in those grades esp from WV...
