Easy Wind Wrote:You are an embarrassment to Knott Co. And that is hard to do.

Since when is it embarrassing to tell the truth?

So are they eligible or not? Contacted a few sources but no word either way.I will be surprised if they get approved but if they do,they will be very very good depsite Rhodes coaching abilty.Yes,they will be that good.
#33
I looked over the agenda for that meeting 20 times and I just didn't see it on there...

Buford T Justice Wrote:Hold up on that car wash gentlemen since we are talking about taxes. The most surprising thing to me about this whole thing is that a couple of cheese eaters from knott co actually pay taxes. But since we are talking about taxes what about the 110,000 per year over the last 4 years the tax payers have paid for Cameron Justice mom and dad's custom made job. If my math is correct that is a 440,000 the "TAX PAYERS" have paid. If you really want to break down the numbers cordia took up donations to pay for the tuition of 4 Canadian kids for a two year total of 32,000 dollars. At the same time the knott co board is accepting ADA on these kids at a rate of 7,186 per kid x 4 kids over a 2 year span that comes to a total of 43,116 dollars. That is a total of 75,116 the knott co board has made off of the lotts creek people in the last 2 years alone. So subtract the 26,000 the board paid for the fine to the KHSAA and the TAX PAYERS are still up 49,116. The Hindman crew puts the county in debt nearly 1/2 million dollars vs. the lotts creek surplus of 49,116. Get your facts straight before you run that cheese eating pie hole.
The interesting numbers would be to see how much Cordia (or Alice) has spent on legal fees the past couple years fighting eligibility for their transfer. Cordia, Lotts Creek Community School (or Alice) hired one of the largest and most respected law firms in the state (which can't be cheap) to fight for eligibility for guys, many of whom stayed in Lotts Creek less than 6 months, to never been seen again. Meanwhile, the impoverished, less-athletic children, who actually grew up on Lotts Creek, are ignored. Maybe Cordia should focus its financial resources more on academics instead of trying to have a good basketball team (with dreams of beating KCC). Their elementary, middle and high school all finished in the BOTTOM 10 of the state in test scores for 2014-2015 school year.

#36

The board of control met, but I didn't see anything Cordia-related and there was no news release issued after the meeting.

The KHSAA typically puts out a release if anything big happens.

According to another sports forum and a credible columnist, the meeting was supposed to have occurred yesterday. JT may have decided to not put them on the agenda.

There's no such thing has having a board meeting about it and not putting it on the agenda.

It could be buried in there somewhere - but if it isn't on the agenda they aren't allowed to discuss it.

Be careful FunFan you'll be labeled an embarrassment like me for saying basically the same thing on page 1 of this thread!!!

I'm there with ya zags. But, I've been told that a couple students did make the trip along with program representatives yesterday. I don't know who went, but was told the trip was made.

Maybe a faithful lotts creekian can give some details. Or maybe, we can go back to the future and find out since yesterday was back to the future day.

So then what does he exactly do? I thought that he was there. The plot thickens.
#50
^^^ that is a total lie. Rod Rhodes quit the college year before last at the request of Alice Whitaker. That was when he had that team with Cunningham. He wanted to concentrate as much time as possible to his team. That is total B.S about this application business.
#51
So he's a fulltime basketball coach only?

Was told by a very good source that Rhodes is Leaving after this year!!! Is this true I heard that his girlfriend or wife got a great job offer somewhere else and this would be his last year at Cordia. Is this true I had heard it a few months back just curious.

Hurry Watson, I have been called upon to solve this case. I always approach a case with an absolutely blank mind. It is always an advantage. Form no theories, just simply observe and draw inferences from your observations. It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. My name is Sherlock. It is my business to know what other people don't know. Good Heavens, we have work to do. Now, let's be off to Cordia to solve this mystery.
#55
You going to attempt to figure out fatpatfan???

Rhodes rumors of leaving cordia is just that. There have been rumors of Rhodes leaving Cordia for at least that last three years. I will be shock if Rhodes leaves.

Between fatpatfan's pictures and speculation of Rhodes leaving, I'm completely lost.

Here's what I am assuming that is known:
Rhodes works for Lott's Creek, doing what we do not know.
KHSAA and Cordia meeting was a hoax (?)
Cordia has scheduled 15 games. Still banned from post season.

Did I cover all the bases?
#59
I have been told that Cordia will be playing in the All A tourney, which is actually surprising to me with all the suspensions but from my understanding it's not a KHSAA activity so makes sense in a way.

But someone posted above about how Cordia was playing a full schedule, the suspension last given to Cordia was two seasons with a 15 game maximum and two post season bans. Explain to us how Cordia is playing a full schedule, goes against the suspension given.

How many new players did Cordia get to transfer in this season, from the looks of pictures I see on Facebook they got several. More players I guess to fight for player eligibility, wonder how that will workout with the KHSAA. The thing I hope is Cordia getting there enrollment up, they have a low number of high school students.

Coming from a Cordia alumn and a follower of there basketball program, one particular person on here who is also a Cordia supporter I have something I have to say. Many other former graduates who from time to time get on this page, and so does a few people I still know and talk with at the school itself...but one thing everyone agrees on when it comes to this page is how we wished Buford T Justice would just shut up and quit talking out of his rear. A lot of the things he says are true but so much BS he says makes zero sense, please quit embarrassing Cordia! Thank You!

Get your facts straight the 15 games was only last season as of now they have 26 games scheduled. The meeting was for real the khsaa told them they would have an answer before the end of the day on Tuesday or Wednesday morning. But this Tuesday will be a week and still no answer. They probably won't reinstate them but what the hell we got nothing to loose. As for being an embarrassment to cordia that would not be me some people need to look in the mirror. All I do is stick up for cordia I never attack any one unless I am attacked first. If you talk about an embarrassment look at fat pat making 25 cartoon posts per day with all jabs thrown at cordia it's obvious he don't have a job. Crazy horse you take this stuff too serious this board is like professional wrestling just get on here and trash talk people.
