THOMCAT Wrote:Dust, we don't want you gone for 30 days. You enjoy posting too much. I will make a counter offer. If Johnson Central wins, you have to wear my Eagle head avatar for 30 days. If Campbell County wins, I will wear a Camel avatar for 30 days AND post the winning Campbell County score following each post that I make for the same 30 day period.
Alright - deal taken.
Good luck THOMCAT!

If the Camels win, since they obviously are not hot enough right now and are going to be blown out by 15-20 in a lopsided game, you get a ridiculous Camel Signature, courtesy of me for the rest of the year! Deal? These young Camels have no chance, so this is a clear dumb bet by me to not be able to post for a month!!!

Will you be at the state tournament? I will be there for the Eagle-Camel game and then will be back Friday for the rest of the tournament. Face to face handshake and a cold drink is on me.

I think a lot of people are overlooking Campbell County. They are a solid team. I was surprised they beat Montgomery, but I don't think they will get blown out.

I think a lot of fans will make statements for both teams that are far fetched. I do not think that the Johnson Central coaches or players will overlook Campbell County and I don't think that Campbell County will be blown out. Campbell County has to be a good team to have beaten Montgomery County.

I agree. Both teams will be ready to play. I think a lot of it has to do with neither fan base not knowing much about the other team. I think the 15th was expecting a match up with Montgomery and had been keeping an eye on them.
I think Johnson Central will win a close one, but I have heard from several people here in the 10th that Campbell is playing some great ball right now.

I hit the ground at 3:00 PM back at CVG on Wednesday coming back from Baltimore. As long as I hit no delays, I plan to run home, change and be on the road to Lexington in time to make tip-off for the Scott County game. I will PM you as it gets closer to gametime.

Avoid Pulp Fiction. He can't operate football chains, can't referee sports and has limited sports knowledge. But other than that, he's not bad. lol

I liked Pulp's selection of musical anecdotes.....'cept for that cheap shot he made about leaving Harlan alive!!! We weren't even IN Harlan County!!!

I'm going with a drop kick from the top of the ropes and the Campbell County Stardust will be pinned in a 3 count

I actually made that clip last summer just for that game. I had both versions on the playlist.
The gist I wanted to get across was that JC was leaving the Harlan County game with our season alive.

JC by 12!

Who are the Mr.Basketball candidates that are still left playing in the sweet 16?I know Shane Hall but not sure of the others.
03-13-2014, 04:45 PM
I think it should be noted that Lawrence County beat Campbell County 83-80 in the Raceland Derby Classic on December 21,2013.
03-13-2014, 05:08 PM
I'll take JC by 5.

I am thinking Scott County's Trent Gilbert and Johnson Central's Shane Hall are the only two.

Also, this year Mr. Basketball will be announced on March 18th, before games even start... so this will have no bearing on who wins.

Can anybody from JC's side or Campbell County's side give us an "All-Time" record between these two teams???
03-14-2014, 04:10 PM
Johnson Central by 11
JC - 63
CC - 52

Less than 11 hours away...... The Golden Eagle Nation invades Rupp Arena!!!!

Off topic a little, but is Johnson Central's enrollment really down to slightly over 1000 students?
I was looking over the previews and I think the Lexington Herald lists it as 1,039. Is that right?

^ Sounds about right, I think KHSAA audit showed 1096 if I am not mistaken.
