Pitchers for Powell
#31
I think they should find a back up catcher that way Pelfrey can get some time on the mound..he's got a pretty nasty deuce!!!

Powell is always one Pitcher short it seems.

Yes,this is true, sometimes without that extra pitcher they seem to fall short.

Are you kidding me, Powell was second if not first in hitting last year, and there fielding isnt as bad as you think. I mean, they must have done something right..winning the region title last year. Pitching is what will be the problem this year. They lost muncie who was the ace, but they still have Benningfield,Brewer,Kinser, and Profitt. Most of them have experience. If they need to work on anything, it would probably be the fielding. They will return 3 starters. Brewer at 3rd, Benningfield at SS(when he's not pitching) Profitt at 2nd. Matt Reed might be able to fill the void at first after losing King last year.

yea true but look at the hitting that they lost....they were decent at fielding but not as good as it could have been...i think they averaged like 3 errors a game...russ dotson should be on the mound this year...he just needs to throw strikes cuz he has what it takes to get guys out

do you think powell's pitching will be as solid as estill's or perry central's?
#39
as good or better. They have a very strong #1 with Brewer taking that spot.#2 benningfield has been pitching very good in big games for two years. #3 proffit (more than likely) pitched very well this summer and against Bourbon last year.#4 kinser(who threw a no hitter in the region last year)Plus a 10th grader Russ Dotson. The coaching staff will more than likely develop a few more pitchers, so yea powell will be pretty good.

well i know berryman shut us down last year....in 6 innings and sewell came in and finished up with 2 strikeouts and a groundout....he has developed about 2 or 3 miles and hour on his fastball since last season hitting 85 right now in lexington....i think powell is going to have to step it up a notch to be able to handle what estill has along with sewell...
#41
a team needs more than two pitchers to be sucessful.
#42
estill does have more then 2 pitchers.and they were successful last year...they have 4 starters..along with 3 relievers..estill's bullpen is 7 deep....with four of them more then likely going on to play college ball...sewell, berryman, christopher and freeman....and if you dont believe i can state the colleges that are interested...
#43
go ahead
#44
they are good, I will give them that. However, I only saw two pitchers last year, but I know they do have three.
