LC has a really quick and stong Defense and IMO think SC will not score no more than 14pts on LC's D !

I like how most of the LC fans are just staying hush hush.
08-15-2006, 01:10 AM
Nope I dont stay hushed, just been out of town. LC will be fun to watch tear up the football field friday night at "The Rock". It a better team than the last three years.

The offense will be fine. Its like I have said all along, there not going to show everything in them pointless scrimmages. They made huge leaps and bounds from there first one to there second one. And what I mean by that is not by the points they put up but by the way it was ran. I will be there but most of LC faithful knows I will be on the sidelines. Maybe we can all meet up before and after the game.

Good luck to both teams, I think SC will be too much and win by a TD.

I'll be at CAM Stadium!! But we'll be listening....Pulling for the Cards!! :redboxer:

This should be a good game. Lawrence County always plays a very physical brand of football and Goldsmith will do the same this year. The Bulldogs always have a very good football mentality and the communiity takes football extremley serious. On the other hand the Cardinals are coming off one of the best seasons in the schools history. They return the majority of their skill players, but have had to fill some spots in the trenches due to graduation. This should be a hard hitting game and an exciting one to watch. It is the first game of the year so I don't expect flawless performances from either team, but I am going to go with the Cards of course. Hager will have to boys ready and they will pull it out in Inez.
All in all I'm going to say:
SC: 28
LC: 14
All in all I'm going to say:
SC: 28
LC: 14

Everyone talks about the loss of Jason Spradlin and the 2 that transferred. I haven't heard anything about Timmy Hayes, Jason Delong and some of the other kids that didn't play. They were a big part of that team and it will be hard to replace them. Maybe if things had changed last year they would still be playing.
Good Luck to all of the teams Friday night.

As for Timmy he has a choice to play next season if he want's too and I for one would love to see it . If these boys are ok with their choice then so am I.

I just hate the fact that maybe they didn't want to play because of the differences made in the past. As far as "we" I'm sure they don't care one way or another about anyone elses opinion (or at least they shouldn't) if they are comfortable with it.

One transferred because he wasnt happy with football and the other transferred for academics.
Its over and done with there isnt a thing we can do about that now, if they truely wanted to be a bulldog they would have stayed and stuck it out. This is a process in which you have to have the help of all involved to get the program turned around and that is what is going on.
As far as the game at The Rock this friday night if I am not mistaken we beat the same team at LC last year. I know its a new year and new players but I think it will be a classic match-up, if I am not mistaken, and I could be, We won up there the last time we played there and won in two over times.

Their's no doubt that the rock is a hard place to win at .But are Dawgs have been in tough places before and still come out on top and I got a feeling they can do it agian. I just hope SC keeps listening to how good every body says they are I love the roll of the underDAWG. 35 hours and counting till kick offirateSho irateSho

Yea these two schools have played in some classic games over the years. It seems to bring out the best of each team that night. I just hope that no matter what happens everyone from both sides comes out of this game ok.
All I know is our "D" will be coming at them from all areas. Our "O" is much improverd but still untested in a real game.

I was asking about Timmy Hayes and Jason Delong...not the transfers. You wore them out months ago....

Yo Batpuff...i remember the 2 OT game a few years back as well...if im not mistaken, we got ripped on a 2 point conversion that would have won us the gaem. Tackle eligible was the name of the play, and the refs BLEW that one....

I saw a lot of LC football players tonight, and it looked like they didn't have much size about them of the ones I saw. Haven't seen SC, but the only thing that matters in football is the size of the players heart. One thing is for sure about this game, hard hitting and full of excitement from the start of the game to the finish. Best of luck to both teams tomorrow on an injury free game.
