Ruling by judge on Cordia
#31
Remember that the KHSAA's rules are made by the membership. If they get upset enough, the transfer situation changes. I haven't seen that happen yet, so may as well make it open season.

Re private schools and "recruiting": could someone please explain how you "recruit" parents to pay $11-12,000 a year for their child to go to a high school to play h/s sports with, for the most part, only a small chance of getting an athletic scholarship to college? Question 2: does it ever occur to anyone that some of these alleged recruits have high-powered parents in biz & athletics & nobody is going to recruit them; they are going to make their own choice with their own child for his or her own good. Question 3: does anybody, outside of a private school parent, have any notion at all of how much many parents sacrifice to send their child to a private school? Question 4: has it occurred to anyone that certain schools do not have to recruit, that their academic, community, & athletic record advertise exactly what your child will get if you wish to make the sacrifice? Question 5: how many high schools do you know breed such student loyalty to classmates, school, & tradition that graduates stay tight with each other & other years forever as though they belong to something greater than themselves? Question 6: what schools do you know get rid of bad teachers & staff (after failed attempts at development) asap & pay faculty & staff less than other schools yet have long waiting lists of applicants who, if chosen, stay for much if not all of their careers? Question 7: if you want to protest against the athletic superiority of some private schools in some sports, would you please compare the coaching staffs of the privates to the coaching staffs of their opponents & ask yourself which side is best conditioned, trained, & motivated to win? Or, more simply, which school will reach down when they don't have anything left & make one more tackle, one more block, one more pick, one more stroke to reach for the W? And even if they fall short & the race belongs to the other team, who do you think really wins in the long run? Who learnt the most about never giving up & who learnt the best that defeat means as much as victory?

Either transfers sit a complete calender year when they transfer, transfers done play at all, or all transfers are legal.

1 of the 3 needs to happen.
The KHSAA cant do much when the judges of every town will turn around and rule them eligible.

^^^ You were completely wrong about what school I'm a fan of, but that's not the point.

The point is that you're bringing PCC into literally every thread you post in, when most of the time the thread's topic has nothing to do them at all, as is the case here yet again. It's all fine if you post about PCC in a PCC thread, but it gets quite annoying seeing the same thing on literally every single thread.

The KHSAA has been ran to almost the level of mediocrity that the NCAA has. After all of this Miami news that has been leaking as of late, writers are saying that firing NCAA President Mark Emmertt will not solve the problem. I agree and I believe the same goes for the KHSAA. It's going to take a lot of "cleaning up" to get Kentucky High School basketball "right".

Like others have said above, it's not just Kentucky, it's all of high school basketball. The system is just about too corrupt to fix.

forget basketball, the whole state is corrupt

His Mom and Dad I guess. he played some in the NBA she is A nurse. Has younger brothers that play to think one will be in the 6th the other in the 8th. Guess they want have to worry about getting 2 of the 3 elgible. Looks like another year of domination for the elementary Lions.
