Ooooohhh. Using the "race card crutch". Leaping Lee is quite politically correct. On the other hand, Dixie Heights and the Dixie Highway are in close proximity so I need to be careful of misinterpretation of my remarks.

My question concerned the facts surrounding, according to the few facts known, the unusual but timely (for Ashland) "relocation" of the boy's family to Ashland. When you get defensive rather than give the facts, I must assume that there is something to hide. After all, from all indications, Huntington High School is a high profile school with a lot of history and a lot of connections. If no "enticements", why would anyone leave for Ashland?

I'm certainly not making any accusations. I have no way of knowing. I am merely asking since, on its face, the move wouldn't appear to be in the boy's best interests in the long run.

All digging aside, Leaping Lee, it is a reasonable question deserving a truthful answer.

Oh please, at least have the stones to stand by your accusation or the intelligence not to contradict yourself in the same paragraph. Of course you are making accusations.

So I'll play, what facts are you looking for? His family moved to Ashland from Huntington and his mother accepted a transfer with her employer from Huntington to Ashland. My suggestion is to allow the family to decide what is best for them. Why would you, since as you said have no way of knowing, take it up on yourself to make any assumption?

OK if this was a middle class white family I sure someone would question who bought their gas for a 15 mile drive. That might not make you comfortable but it is what it is.

Don't be so full of yourself. I'm comfortable no matter how far in the gutter you want to drag this.

Ashland Blazer has been suspect on alot of transfers over the years. Black and White. Rich and Poor. Your hyperbole is laughable.

The "who bought the gas" was a question in response to your sarcasm.

I know what you are saying. They are the true definition of the pot calling the kettle black. i.e. the Rose Hill situation.

I could've swore that I saw were you refered to me as Mr. Smart** In your orgional post, did you reconsider? Rest assured I'm not playing, I am Mr. Smart***.

So how far you want to go back on your transfers? Because most every school in the area has benefited from suspect transfers.

I did and I did change it when I noticed you finally did answer the question.

The remark was still in response to you being a smartass so take it as far as you want.

Glad you mentioned the "Rose Hill Situation". Are you referring to Rose Hill getting transfers or the multiple schools (Raceland, East, Ashland, Boyd, Russell, Fairview) who received Rose Hill transfers in recent years?

Mr. Smart*** just wants to clarification.

That's Mr. Smartass to you, Mr. Staff Member.

I'm talking about Ashland crying about Rose Hill getting transfers and refusing to play them. Then filling most of their team with Rose Hill players when the Khsaa came down on Rose Hill because of the whining by Ashland to the Khsaa.

Warthog Wrote:Who is the favoritea?

Fleming and Russell are the favorites.

Boyd County, Morgan County, Ashland Blazer and Rowan County all have a chance at it.

If that's what you want to be referred to as that's fine with me.

I will not speak for him but I think it's in response to half of Ashland Blazer's roster being former Royals last year.

I do not dispute that nearly half of the region benefitted from the mass exodus after Mayo and entourage bolted from Roberts Drive.

This year I the 16th is getting even more interesting. Last night Russell beat Fleming. Tonight Morgan topped Rowan. All these late season games have made me really excited for the regional tournament. I think a lot of the determining will come down to who wins and who the runner up is in the 64th; Boyd County or Ashland Blazer? I believe seeding will be crucial this year when it comes tourney time.

Since I'm merely trying to get "educated" about this transfer, let me ask what company "transfers" employees from Huntington to Ashland- as you said about 15 miles. What company large enough to "transfer" workers has locations in both Huntington and Ashland? I suspect the answer is "none". It seems to me that you are digging yourself into a hole. Your "transfer" line is not credible.

I have stayed out of this discussion but I must submit that dozerdog707 has stated the absolute truth. Ashand's top attributes include crying and whining to KHSAA. And, normally, KHSAA, after Louis Stout, supplies a handkerchief to wipe away the tears.
#52
Sorry. I should have stated "dozerdawg707". Either way, the contents of his post cannot be honestly disputed in any way.

Thank you for the correction Truth.
The Truth will set you free!!!

You mean Asland Blazer called the Khsaa and complained about Rose Hill and Fairview getting Transfers? Who knew? Lol

Bottom Line
Without Ashland getting the Transfer from Huntington in a timely manner this year, they probably would not make it out of the district. And for sure no one would be talking about them having a shot at the region.

And, I got a pm earlier today indicating that three of Ashland's top six players are old Rose Hill transfers. Add Dixon to that group and it appears, without all these timely "transfers", Ashland would possibly be in the class of Rose Hill and Riverside Christian.

But, of course, the Ashland program is as clean as the new driven snow, isn't it?

I am still hopeful that Leaping Lee will provide the name of that Huntington-Ashland company that "transfers" workers from one town to the other. Surely, it isn't merely a figment of his imagination.

I guess we can conclude that the "job transfer" was both a figment and cat manure.

I find it odd that he played in the Freshman AIT last year and pretty much dominated it and now he plays for Ashland. Could it be that they are using their own tournament as a recruiting tool?
