Breathitt County. They are on a tear and one of the best teams in Region

Breathitt and Buckhorn in the finals.I believe Breathitt will go to state.BTW....The Big Guy......Fraley quit the team.I don't know if he has or will ask to be put back on the team or if he would be welcomed back or not.It's all up to Arch in Breathitt.They could have a great team next year too if they would keep parents and politics out of it.

Arch nor politics had anything to do with Bobby quitting the team. Bobby had a disagreement with Coach Fugate on the sidelines during a game and walked off the floor. The decision to allow him back on the team is Coach Fugate's and Coach Fugate's alone.

Losing Bobby may not hurt the Bobcats like many think because without him they are a lot faster team up and down the floor. They have picked up the scoring since he left and Wes and Alex have really taken off scoring the ball playing a lot faster tempo.

With that said I don't like Breathitt's draw. I don't think they can beat Knott at Knott but I do think they could have beaten Buckhorn if they had gotten them in the final. As it is I think Buckhorn and Knott will be playing for the regional title.

Still think Buckhorn would rather play Knott than Letcher.

I really hope this is what happens, but I think we are going to have a hard run AND I don't like the idea of playing Letcher again!

I was talking to someone at Estill's 3rd Grade AAU Tournament Yesterday and he says he thinks we should play Breathitt and Wolfe home and home. Wolfe is about 40-45 Minutes from Estill and Breathitt is about an hour from Estill so they are within distance

Hazard scares me more against knott than breathitt. I know alot of peoples gonna say i'm crazy but hazard seems to always play knott close

We were talking about this yesterday.. there is just something about Hazard and Knott. They always play us close... I think it's a head thing.

However, I still don't see Hazard winning... (maybe a little hopeful thinking too..)

Knott/Hazard will be tough game, but Knott should pull it out
Breathitt will be waiting in the semi's for whomever comes out of this one

Buckhorn/Letcher will be in the other semi.

Buckhorn does not match up well with Letcher, they are much bigger and stronger at every position, but I don't think Letcher can score enough points or hit their free throws well enough to win. Letcher won last week, but Day was still nursing an injury and Couch did not play, big difference this time around with a healthy team. Buckhorn should win the rematch and play the hottest team in the 14th region, Breathitt, in the finals.

I see Coach Denny Fugate getting to Rupp Arena to represent the 14th region. What a story that would be. Good luck to all the teams in the 14th.
