As you lift in the east, here is a point to ponder from the west. Paducah Tilghman's heaviest defensive lineman weighed 215 and heaviest on the O line was barely 230. I doubt any could bench 275 if that. Our line was often outweighed by 100 pounds a man and we dressed only about 43 kids. Lifting is fine, but if you can't bring team speed and agility to the table at every position on every play, you risk losing to a team that can. Several teams with far superior size found that out. If you play for Paducah Tilghman, you will run and condition relentlessly. While you get stronger, we will get faster. Best of luck in 2010.

Well, Belfry does have some that bench 275 or more squat 500 or more but they also haev the speed and agility to go along with it. They work not only on strength, they work on the other essentials that make them a contender year in and year out. Belfry will be fine this year regardless of what many wish to believe!!
