Pikeville 2009/10

More Cowbell Wrote:Pikeville will likely take a step back from last year. You don't just lose a player of Matt Clevenger's caliber and not miss a beat. The Panthers will once again have some good outside shooters, but their season will depend on the development of their two young inside guys, Rowe and Cecil.

Pikeville should still be one of the better teams in the 15th region, but will likely duke it out with East Ridge for that second regional tourney berth from the 59th district.

I agree with you here. Matt Clevenger was a huge asset to this Panther team, it will be hard to recover completely from losing him. They have a few guys that I expect to have a great season but getting together to play as a team without your key player does take some time to adjust to. I, too, imagine that Pikeville and East Ridge will run pretty close this season and either have the possibility of going to the regional tournament, as district runner-up of course.
