3. How isnt he a college running back? As a junior he complied one of the best seasons stat wise ever in the state. You cant argue with that. I know some say stats doesnt mean anything, you are somewhat correct. What do some coaches, not all, look at when they are recruiting a player? Stats, what is this kid doing on the feild, Im sure they ask themselves. If a player just wows them on the feild, the player will be hearing from the coach or the coaching staff pretty quickly. I was watching the combine today and noticed that the two top running backs in the nation ( Moranoe and Wells) run around the 4.6 range with Moranoe dipping just below 4.6 once. Channing ran I think, someone correct me if I an wrong in the 4.8's as a junior. That gives this kid a whole off season to improve this speed and thats just scary to think of that and his power he has. Over the last off season you could see a dematic difference between him when he was a sophmore and a junior. Look at the tapes. Lets just give this kid some props for what he has done and can do.

1.Your location states your from the home of the 3 time state 2a champ didn't Brethitt win it 3 times? I could be wrong I know they went on a streak for a while.
2. Im am just stating the obvious. I mean I've never once seen a thread that said how hard is it to tackle other running backs.
3. Go back and reread what I posted. I never said he would not be a college running back. I said he might make a great back at a NAIA school. Then I stated that most of the great abcks from EKy have went on to play different postions in the college ranks.

I don't want to every one to think I'm bashing the kid because I'm not. He will et a chance to play college ball(something I did not do) But, lets get realistic on a few things here. There are gonna be better and greater athletes in the college ranks. Zack Lewis(CLay County) blew up the stat sheets(you mentioned them) and he's at Morehead, which is a great gig for the kid. But it's not D-1. No one ever mentioned how hard it was to intercept one of his passes. Shawn Grimm led the state in TDs and went to a NAIA school. Theres nothing wrong with playing at a NAIA school. My cousin is at Pikeville right now.
Channing is a great player no doubt. And yes I have watched his high light films. He is not a D-1 running back.
