LOL!!! Take out Allen Central, Betsy Layne, South Floyd, Jenkins, Paintsville (who is now horrible), Phelps, Harlan (horrible) and the like and what is Pikeville's record?

Pikeville's mediocrity (and everyone but you seems to realize that they are mediocre or worse) is much harder to take than Pike Central's because Pikeville was a powerhouse for many years and PC is trying to build a program.

Yep! They were powerhouses in 86', 87', and 89'. Go to the bathroom, shave the mullet and get out of the 80's. Pikeville has had some good teams since then, but powerhouses, I'm not sure.

Pikeville's best years since 1989 was when Barret Rogers, Matt Branham, and Jeremiah Akers were around, not too many of those types of kids at Pikeville for some time now, except for Harmon, who came from Virgie.

Pikeville's days of steamrolling everyone are long gone. With Chapman at the helm, it won't be long until PC becomes the school that most of the Pikeville area kids will embrace. Coach Ben Howard will have his work cut out for him. I just can't figure out where he's going to bring kids in from though. With the new middle school at Mullins and Chapman at PC and all the kids Northeast of PC will surely go to Belfry
and I don't think SV will ever lose kids again to Pikeville(has been the opposite as of late). It sure won't be like the late 80's.
