As to their basketball program, they'll get their turn. Just takes time with a new school. They might as well play the better and bigger schools now, because they would have to play them soon enough anyway. Besides, those little single A schools in NKY are tough to beat. Not sure a purely single A schedule would help much. lol
Yes, it was due to significant growth in Boone Co. The cut across all the former district lines. If you saw a map of it, it would make better sense.
I agree with your point about playing the bigger schools. Cooper is a 6A school when it comes to size wise. They played all the 6A schools in Football and were beat by an average of 40 points. Basketball has gotten off to a similar start, and one would expect their Baseball team to do the same.
Where they will be able to compete is in individual sports. I have already noticed some first place finishes in swimming. They have a very good golfer who has transefered in which may well bring Cooper a State finalist before he graduates.
