Of course the bigger schools were willing to make room, but based on their success against the smaller schools, which has been as bad, they could have had an entire schedule of single A schools and still struggled, or likley had the same reocrd as they currently do.
May not have made much of a difference this year but next year with one year under their belt Cooper may have faired better than playing the same teams next year also. Usually games are scheduled with a contract for at least two years. one home and one away.
I bet the AD wished he had some input in the scheduling.
