Covington Catholic 63 - Cooper 29

goodguy Wrote:With this being Coopers first year, they have to play their district games (Boone, Ryle, Conner) but they should have scheduled some of the smaller schools in NKY their first couple of years.

Some of their non-district games are against, Cov. Cath, Newport Cath, Holmes, Scott, Dixie, Highlands, and Campbell Co. Tough schedule for any experienced team or any school that's been around for years.

Good luck Cooper! Hang in there!

Many in NKY have made that same argument. What we all learned after the fact was that Cooper could not get games with smaller school without having to travel. Obviously that was not feasible for a new school based on their budget. For some unknown reason, they did not hire an AD until this past summer. Schedules were already made. It was difficult for them to get a full schedule of games period. Of course the bigger schools were willing to make room, but based on their success against the smaller schools, which has been as bad, they could have had an entire schedule of single A schools and still struggled, or likley had the same reocrd as they currently do.
