I still think this is one of the most useless, meaningless, let's give the refs something to do before the game rules. If you can dunk, then you should be able to dunk. You're not going to go in the game and go up to the rim and just lay it in.

i completely agree, what is the harm in dunking the ball in warm-ups...no one is saying you are going to hang on the rim or taunt the other team. it is just warming up. this is a bad rule
