The reason why I like that he's dependable is just the general state of the Bengals' linebacking corps. With all the injuries and suspensions the last couple years, the group has been in such a flux, with really the only constant being Landon Johnson and all his tackles. If we have Brooks and Thurman starting next year, you're talking about two immensely talented but still very raw players who could use a steady influence like Johnson playing alongside them.
