A little off there, pal!

Practice 330-6 ISH seen it as late as 715, 8 once. Never out before 5. 5 days a week; (not as long on Wednesdays, of course)
You must lift once a day, game day included. No exceptions, you make up what you miss. And during the week, if you dont lift during school because of scheduling conflicts, you stay after practice. I saw one kid not getting out of there til 945 one night, now how much time is left for family dinner and homework?!
Fridays, your not permitted to leave the school, which is somewhat understandable. BUT you eat the dinner he chooses. I dont like that. sorry, thats just me.
Saturday Required meeting. For a short practice and film review. and a review of weeks past.

Off season, you lift every day. 300 till 420 on short days, which last about a month into off season, then its till about 530 ish, depending if he comes in and talks for a while. Breaks from school included, like i said before, you miss, he makes you feel like crap.


You schedule it in with your other sports.

Oh, and GRADES?! He wonders why the majority of his kids have terrible grades.

Because he gives them no time to study. Some kids want to live a life outside football, and want to have a life along side it. Jackson's style does not permit that alongside academics and other things required by young adults today.

3:30-6ISH is2 1/2 hours like I said.

I think just about every kid has the chance to take PE, but if they can't they must lift, either before school or after school. It wouldn't be fair to the other kids who lift if you didn't make it up.

Offseason is 3:20-4:30 Mon., Tues., Thur., and Fri. Not every day of the week.

If you miss, he doesn't make you feel like crap. It's the 15 minutes that you have to stay after practice each day until the time you missed is made up, that makes you feel like crap. It's only time that you make up, not the conditioning and hitting. He makes you pick up after practice and take in the equipment.

Balancing football and grades is the hardest thing for a young kid to do. We have several kids on the team with all A's and as far as I know, none of the kids had to set out or miss any football due to grades. He checks grades every week and makes kids that have C- or below keep an assignment notebook. For kids that have D's or below he has a FACTS program, which is a mandatory study session.
And by the way, the majority of his kids don't have terrible grades. They have really good grades at a tough school like Pikeville, where 93%-100 is an A. 83%-92 is a B, etc.

Last, I wasn't trying to personally attack you. I'm just saying that you may have other things that interest you and football is probably not very high on that list. It's probably the best for you and the football team that you didn't play. If you were not happy you probably had a negative attitude, and kids that are trying and working their butts off don't need that around anyway
