Wins are not a quarterback stat. Wins are a team stat. Always been that way and always will.
“Wins” purely are a team stat. I agree. I could have worded it better but I’ll take a winner at QB who elevated his team with leadership, poise, etc over a stats kid any day and twice on Sundays. Boley, Atwell, etc are all phenomenal HS QBs or examples of them but how many state championships there are is a big divider too. And having a QB who can keep Ds honest is a big big part of a winning team. Don’t want to knock any of the other kids and won’t. But I’ll just stick with having Duty. He’s a baller who deserves to be in the conversation. Period. If all he played were games against some of the other school schedules, his stats would be equal.
