Old School Hound's A Bit Too Early (Perhaps)" RPI for 4A Contenders
#34
I could foresee what I’ve deemed the “Tommy factor” to Cov cath. When you go undefeated but your schedule is weak! Covs schedule isn’t bad, but def isn’t good! As their fans have said, beechwood isn’t the typical beechwood from the past years. They’re young apparently and that’s probably the hardest team on their schedule. Normally not a bad thing. I wasn’t sold on highlands. I know some disagree, and that’s fine. What does help them though like you stated, the higher class schools. Our weak schedule had some lower class on it and it hurt, and showed. But as much as people hate on RPI every year, it’s been pretty accurate thus far, or pretty dang close (maybe switching 1 and 2 or 3 and 4). But usually the best at the end are in the championship. Hopefully it holds true.
