Old School Hound's A Bit Too Early (Perhaps)" RPI for 4A Contenders

The only reason that Boyle and the CC are the teams to beat is because Corbin and Boyle are likely to meet in Round 3, giving Cath all but a free trip to Kroger. If the Northern KY Catholics came to Corbin they would have a damn mudhole stomped in their asses and then devoured by a couple of grizzlies. Corbin would win by three scores.

For those of you who are excited that you will likely get to see Corbin and Boyle play each other two weeks earlier than anticipated and possibly even at the new $9.3 million  playpen of the Corbin grizzlies, there might be a fly in the ointment.

That fly is the Ashland Tomcats. If Ashland takes care of business and beats Boyd(A), JC(A), and Simon Kenton(H) to close the season undefeated, it's very possible they could have the #2 RPI, especially if Corbin and Boyle falters against Douglass. CC would likely dispatch of JC in round 2 and Ashland would emerge . along with Cov Cath, Corbin, and Boyle to fight it out in Round 3. #1 CC would face #3 or #4 Corbin/Boyle and #2 Ashland would face #3 or #4 Corbin or Boyle.  That is a scenario that could possibly produce a Corbin-Boyle championship game at Kroger Field.

So, if you are still holding out hope  for a Corbin-Boyle encore at Kroger ,  you need to become an Ashland Blazer cheerleader...

GO TOMCATS !!!
