Honestly, I don’t think we disagree as much as you think we do. OBVIOUSLY, one man can be great and create a culture. Like say Heywood at Belfry. But what if Belfry had said- years ago- we don’t care about winning; you can’t let these kids that wanna come here enroll; you can’t have in school weight lifting; we aren’t gonna hire you any good assistants; you’re gonna coach for a $1,500 stipend; or someone else will. I’ve seen those BELFRY CRAZIES at state championships wearing those: FAITH, FAMILY, FOOTBALL hoodies. Yes, Heywood built that, but the community wanted it and embraced it and allowed that culture to grow.
